I realize this is out of stock now and Amazon doesn't know if it will come back or not, but it does ... take it! This is one of the best deals I've grabbed in awhile. I paid $139 for it in July 2024, and it's worth every penny and then some. It's not a luxury futon/sofa, but it's built well, easy to assemble and looks great. The only real negative is that it's very, VERY firm. It's not really uncomfortable, but it would be nice if it were just a little softer on the ol' tuchus. Oh, and here's a big thing to know if you get this futon: the arms are hidden in the couch. Yeah, I know that sounds weird, but I saw another review where the person thought they were missing, but I'm guessing they probably just missed that part in the directions as I did at first. I ended up calling customer service because I thought they were missing, but they kindly let me know that on the underside of the couch is a Velcro covering that you can remove and, voila! there are the arms. This was packed great. The entire futon folds in half, so the box isn't very big. All you have to do is unfold it and there's your couch. The only thing you have to do to assemble it is add the legs and arms: Easy-peasy. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble it by myself, as the instructions are very tiny and not clear. The entire instructions consist of just four photo panels and a sentence on each. There are minor differences in the legs, but it's not mentioned in the instructions. You also have to orient them a certain way. The only way to know this is to just look at the photos. They were so small that I had to take a picture with my phone and zoom in to see how to assemble the legs. Negatives aside, though, the thing looks great. It's nice that you can easily convert this to a bed, and the arms come off very easily if you want to let your feet hang over. It's a little under 6 feet long so if you're tall, that's helpful. One last note about the arms: There are no instructions and no labeling for them so you don't know which arm goes on which side. I falsely assumed that it didn't matter, but it certainly does. However, if you put them on the wrong side, you'll know right away because it will stick out too much in the front and it's an easy fix to just swap them. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and I hope they come back in stock here on Amazon because it's a great deal. ... show more

This is such a cute sofa and perfect if you’re going for a modern vibe, the color is deep and rich and the velvet is soft and deep. It was so easy to assemble that it literally took me longer to unbox it than to put the legs and arms on. One quick tip about putting the legs on, because I got stuck for a moment after putting the front legs on (and note the front and back legs aren’t labeled but they ARE shaped differently, the front slant out in a typical midcentury way whereas the back are straighter) and the directions are tiny and hard to see at this step - and though the front legs go on with a washer and bolt like you’d expect, the back have a threaded rod attached and screw directly into the couch - but there’s also a plastic piece over the threading that won’t come off until you loosen the threaded rods a little from the main back legs. I’ve put together a decent amount of furniture and that’s one I hadn’t seen before and it had me stumped for a minute 🤦🏼♀️ Once assembled it looks great and goes back and forth between positions easily. I love that there are not only different levels of recline but that both sides are independent of each other. That being said, don’t get this to be your main sofa in the family room where your family likes to gather and lounge in comfort. It is not incredibly comfortable, the cushioning is minimal and fairly stiff and it’s fine to sit on but not somewhere I’d try to get comfortable for a long movie or anything. As you can see in my picture, there’s no arms on the futon. That’s because they were missing from the box! I was going to rate the futon 1 star, but I didn’t because I like the accordion back that adjusts to the desired height and it’s easy to attach the legs. Unfortunately, it came with no directions or the side arms. I think the parts in my second picture of leftover parts are used to attach arms. Too bad quality control was so bad.
