  • Fantastic Media Chairs!!
Color: Black Style: Contemporary
Excellent media chairs. They are a perfect medium as far as between soft and hard. It's that sweet spot I have been looking for. Many of these sets cost twice or three times as much and was optimistic when these arrived. They are easy to put together (2 pieces - back and base). They are made very well and look fantastic. The set is great and have been more than pleased with the purchase! ... show more

  • Decent. Not great
Color: Brown Style: Contemporary
First time buying furniture on amazon.... pros and cons. Shipping was incredible. Picked a shipping window and the company was amazing. Kudos there. Product quality is ok. One of the rear panels is slightly tilted and I’ve tried to bend the support arms to slight the panel. Still not perfect. Makes me wonder if this thing will last more than a year. People say it’s super comfortable but i would say it’s average at best. At 900 bucks. I’m sure you can find something better ... show more

This thing is not sturdy at all. It became loose and fell apart within the year. Huge waste of money!

  • Better than expected - Updated April 2019
Color: Black Style: Contemporary
We took a risk and bought two sets of these three seat, angled theater seats (six seats total). There were no reviews on them at all and the information we could find (specifications) were identical to the straight row of the same seats. In other words, the measurements of either these or the straight seats is wrong, since they can't possibly be the same once the additional angles are accounted for for turning the seats inward. It seems the measurements may actually be wrong on both, or at least misleading. For example, Amazon has these listed as 66x117x40 (inches). Well, the 66" is accurate for the distance of a single fully reclined seat. Upright, the seat depth is 37". The 117" width is accurate for the width of the entire angled row with all seats upright. However, be aware that since the seats are angled, you will need a few more inches of width to recline the outer seats. The 40" height is accurate for each seat when fully upright. So, it appears that the measurements are correct for the angled row, as long as you are aware of how they were measured and take into account the measurements will change (like the width when reclining). Additionally, what is not explained very well is the measurements of each individual piece. I have noticed on other similar products, people ask about the pieces since they need to fit through doorways. The entire unit is shipped in five boxes - each seat in it's own box, then each middle armrest/console in it's own box. The armrest back is removed and placed flat on the armrest/console in the box. Two simple thumbscrews attaches those pieces together. The chairs are somewhat similar. The backs are removed and placed flat on the seat inside the box. The armrest cushions for the outer seats are underneath the seat. The seat boxes are 26" high. They are wider and deeper than that, but that's the important measurement for fitting through a doorway. However, I needed to get them through a 24" doorway. If you have a similar small doorway, don't worry. Take the seats out of the box, set the back aside, and the seat itself is only about 21-22" high - small enough to turn sideways and fit carefully through a 24" door. Once everything is unpacked, assembly takes about 10-15 minutes. It requires no tools at all, and is very simple... attach the middle armrest backs to the armrest console with the two provided thumbscrews (in a bag inside each console). Put the backs on the chairs, by aligning them properly and pushing down to lock them in place. Lastly, attach the row together by putting each successive piece into the one next to it using the metal "bolts/pins" on one to slide into the matching notches on the next piece. Lastly, zip the armrests onto the outside chairs and press the velcro in place on the chair side of the armrest. In all, assembling two sets of these seats took about an hour from beginning to end. (unpacking, moving to the room, moving them into position, assembling the pieces, attaching them all together). So how do they feel? Better than I expected. The leather blend is actually pretty nice and does seem to be real leather. It is reasonably soft. The cushioning in the outer armrests is exactly as you'd expect from the pictures - big and squishy. The cushioning in the seats and backs is a bit firmer than I expected. It is comfortable, it's just firmer like modern recliners instead of squishy like more traditional plush recliners. This is a good thing. I want a slightly firmer seat when watching a movie. I don't want something so soft and plush that you fall asleep too easily. Other aspects: The recliner mechanisms seem to work well, though they are a bit stiff and hard to pull. I'm guessing they will loosen up as they are used. The cupholders are larger than expected - bigger than you need for any normal canned or bottled drink. The consoles are big and deep. Much larger than you need for simply storing remotes. Maybe you could also keep a box of tissue in them for the wife when she watches those weepy movies. The hinges on the consoles are like cabinet hinges in that there is tension on them to hold them closed or hold them open. You don't have to worry about gravity pulling the cover down on your hand as you're reaching in for something. The recliners are not exactly "wall-huggers" but they are close. You can set the chairs within just a few inches of a wall. You don't need to put them three feet out like a lot of non-wall-hugging recliners. I have my back row about three inches away from the wall when upright. When reclined, the middle headrest is about a half-inch away from the wall. (Pressure from someone's head resting on that will compress the cushioning and cause it to touch the wall). These seats even have velcro along the bottom of the back so that the flaps from the seatbacks or middle armrests can wrap around and "attach" to the velcro strips to keep the backs of the seats looking nice and neat. In summary, I am very happy with these seats and they are better than I expected - especially when most home theater seating is ridiculously overpriced. They also do fully recline. (I have seen other similar seats where the footrest comes up, but the back doesn't recline. As for now, I'll give them four stars. If they last a long time and remain in good condition after normal, regular use then they might earn that fifth star. But only time will tell if that happens. Attached pictures: First one shows the seats all upright. Second picture shows the front row with footrest out, full upright, and full recline. Update: April 2019. After having these seats for three years now, with minimal use (~2 hours a week), one of the seats has developed an issue where the Polyurethane (plastic) layer is separating form the underlying fabric of the fake leather on one of the headrests. I looked up the warranty information, and as expected, the fake leather is not covered at all (not surprised), but I wanted the contact information of the manufacturer to buy a replacement seat back for that chair. When I called, I was told that Flash furniture is not actually the manufacturer. They are only the wholesale distributor and that they don't deal with end users at all. I was told that I would have to contact a reseller to see if they would order parts for me, and the rep pretty much said "good luck finding a reseller willing to do that". She also said the manufacturer is in China and she had no contact information for them. So now, after three years of light use, we have a defective product on which I was willing to pay to replace that part, but there is no way to order just the part I need. As such, I am lowering my review to 2 stars and recommending that buyers look to another brand completely. Only reason I am leaving it at 2 stars instead of 1 is because aside from the peeling plastic on the fake leather, the seats have held up well otherwise (again, light usage). I'll let you decide if it's worth the risk or not. ... show more

  • I LOVE these seats
Color: Black Style: Contemporary
I LOVE these seats! We bought them for our home theater downstairs. I was able to carry a few steps up with my 10 year old daughter. Then we were able to push the boxes downstairs with my two kids. I was able to put it together in less than two hours. I didn't need any tools or anything. The parts of the seat just click in together. Couple of issues I see is that once you recline, the part where the legs go are not that long, so if you are tall you might have your feet hanging a little bit. Also, I would have loved to have a more fluffy seating. Other than that, they look great! Compared to other furniture places, this price was very doable for me. Thanks! ... show more
