I searched high and low for a mattress that suits side sleepers and won't cost me a fortune. I'm a college student, after all. After dealing with an Ashley Furniture mattress suddenly selling out and countless other mattresses giving me one month delivery times, I searched again and found this one. Here are some observations: - Arrival was quick, but the box is very, very heavy. Most definitely requires two, maybe three people, especially with stairs. It's also a pretty long box, so it might be tricky with loading into a car. - The mattress inflated extremely quickly, so make sure no one is straddling it to cut it open. Let it sit while it inflates on a flat surface, i.e. don't lay on it. - You WILL need a mattress topper with this, trust me. I bought a three inch topper and it does wonders, especially if you're a side sleeper. I'm also using a mattress pad for a little extra support, but it's not as needed. It's going to take a few (two-three at most) mornings of waking up with a sore back before you can really break in the bed, but I've experienced this even with higher-end mattresses. It just comes along with being a side sleeper. - It doesn't slide around easily on the Zinus frame I got, so that's a plus. - There was absolutely NO smell when it was inflating, not even a faint one. Overall, I would recommend this mattress to anyone looking for a decent, reliable and affordable mattress. ***After three months: I haven't had any issues with this mattress. I've actually swapped out my two pillows with just one as the mattress was so supportive that I didn't need an extra pillow to support my neck. ... show more

I wanted to hold off on writing a review for our new bed until we had it for a bit....we have had it now for 90 days! It has been easy and good since day ONE! It arrived on our doorstep and that was a plus that we didn't have to go out and shop for it. It is VERY heavy and you should have 2 people to lift it. Follow instructions to cut the plastic open and make sure the pattern is UP before cutting. (We also bought a wooden platform that we needed to assemble- so by the time we got the mattress on top to cut open--it was inflating upside down!) We turned on the ceiling fan to allow more air to circulate in the bedroom to assist with the inflation process. We did NOT sit or lay on it for 2 FULL days to allow proper, full inflation as per instructions. GOOD: Sides are strong and supportive, comfort level of mattress is soft/medium (I would prefer it to be firmer, but this was a compromise with my Husband), little to NO movement to disturb your partner when moving around, no odor or issues on day one, excellent price and fast delivery to our front porch. BAD: Foot of the bed is VERY soft---so do not sit to put on your socks, you'll slide off! (ugh--I wish they used the same construction they used on the sides for the foot of the bed!) The comfort level is a soft/medium so if you prefer firmness, you will feel like you "sink" into this mattress. OVERALL REVIEW: We really like this mattress...not love. It is SO affordable that we planned on this being a temporary situation until we can purchase another high end version of foam/pocket spring mattress---but this has been a GEM for the price and Prime delivery. I normally do not write reviews (although I need to start considering how much I order via Amazon). However, I am one who pays very close attention to the reviews of others. I did a lot of researching and reading and comparing before deciding on this mattress. A mattress is a long-term investment. So, it is not something you want to get wrong. This one seemed like the best choice for a great budget mattress, hand's down! My mattress was delivered on August 19, 2020. I unboxed it the same day. I gave it a full 48 hours to decompress before I slept on it. August 22 was the first night I slept on it. Wow! Just WOW! That was the first night in a longggg time that I actually got a good night's rest. With my old mattress, my neck, back and legs would hurt terribly when I awoke the next morning. After my first night sleeping on this mattress, I noticed a considerable difference. It is now going on two weeks that I have been sleeping on this mattress. My back problems are gone! My neck problems are gone! I do not wake up in pain. I do not toss and turn all night long. I am sleeping my best life. I absolutely love the way the mattress contours to my body and supports it in all the right places. It is soft but not too soft. It is firm but not too firm. It is perfect to me. Regarding the chemical odor, there is one when you first unbox and unpack the mattress. However, after the first 48 hours I used allowing the mattress to decompress, the odor was gone.
