I have not been this satisfied with a purchase - ever. Considering that you can't try the mattress before you purchase it like you would in a brick and mortar store I must say that I was skeptical and never expected to be so thoroughly pleased. I've had this mattress for 20 days and honestly, I have not slept this well in years. I was long overdue for a new mattress but because of the way my 200 year old farmhouse is built, all furniture has to be hoisted up through a loft door in the kitchen ceiling and this requires several men. Not having that option I decided to try a self inflating mattress that I could haul up the narrow, twisting stairwell. The package arrived two days before I expected it and the box was in good shape and it was easy enough to guide up the stairwell despite being 50+ pounds. The box was long and relatively narrow so it slid up the stairs with ease. The instructions were very easy to follow. The inflating process is a two stage operation. I placed the mattress on my existing box spring and was surprised at how easy it was to handle by myself. First you remove the shrink wrap and the mattress begins to expand and then you open a small hole in the second plastic wrap and the final stage begins. From the time I brought this mattress in the house until the time I was ready to put the linens on it was maybe a total of 10 minutes. The auto inflation process was quite impressive. The mattress is quite attractive - so much so that I hated having to cover it with a mattress protector. The first night I slept so well and for the first time in years I did not spend the entire night tossing and turning. I was actually surprised that the bedding was hardly disturbed at all and with my old mattress everything would be pulled apart or on the floor after trying to rest all night. The second night I clearly remember thinking about how comfy the mattress was when I laid down on it to rest for the night. Well, it's been 20 nights and at long last I wake rested and refreshed for the first time in years. I recommend this mattress to anyone who is searching for a good mattress at a reasonable price. The packaging suggests that it may take several hours to a whole day for the mattress to completely inflate to it's full potential but from what I could see it fully inflated almost right away. This mattress can be placed on a platform or box spring. I think it would be described as a firm mattress and that is exactly what I wanted so I am doubly pleased with this wonderful mattress. I've used this mattress for about 2 weeks before writing my review so I could make it as accurate as possible. So far, I've loved it! It arrived a day before it was expected. The box is heavy, so I definitely needed help getting it in the house and taking the mattress out of the box. The plastic covering had instructions detailing how to remove it, and after 2 cuts the bed was inflated! I let it sit for 24 hours before placing it on my frame. I will note that my bed never inflated to the full 12 inches - it's 10 inches all around. I don't mind that though, as I have a tall bed frame already and it's a good quality mattress regardless. There was a "new mattress smell", but it was by no means overwhelming and I actually found it pleasant. By the time I got my sheets on I could hardly notice it. The matress itself isn't the firmest thing I've slept on, nor is it the softest. The coils make the mattress bouncier, and the thin layer of memory foam on top cushions you just enough to be comfortable. As long as you like a medium-firm mattress, it's pretty much perfect. I chose to put my 3-inch memory foam topper on for added softness, and it literally feels like I'm sleeping on a bouncy cloud. I've never been so in love with a bed! I bought this mainly because I wanted a firmer mattress on a nursing students' budget. I can tell you first-hand that it's the best I've ever owned! I haven't experienced a single issue with it so far, but I will keep this review updated with how it holds up over time. ... show more

This is the 3rd mattress I have bought of this brand and it is a really good and comfortable mattress. Great quality and built to last. I saw videos of other people who purchased this mattress, and idk what they were doing on their mattresses or if they got some factory reject one. The first one I bought about 7 years ago and it never got lumpy and didn't lose the support. It is medium support but still super comfortable. Compared to other mattresses in it's price range it's superior. Definitely buy a mattress protector cuz it will get dirty fast if you don't. It's compressed into a smaller box but once it's rolled out it pops out in a thick nice heavy mattress. No smells. ... show more

This was a reorder for me. I ordered one years ago, then my ex ruined it. I loved the first so much I bought another. The second one the quality seems to have gone down. It isn't as tall as the last, and not nearly as comfortable in comparison. When I opened it, I expected it to keep decompressing as the last one had, but it never happened. So, I'm 50/50 on this one.
