With the purchase of these chairs, I immediately enjoy the style based on design. It is similar to many folding chairs, so that makes it an easy adjustable fit for comfort. The material of these chairs allows a durable use duration while not uneccessarily indestructable. Looking at this natural finished product has a sense of worth to the out side world amung the indoors. The durability is a perfect capacity for the safety of sitting only. I set these chairs any where on the floor through out this living space, and store in an open corner. After having and using these chairs regularily over a long period of time, I've noticed there is a natural wear and tear on the wrapping that helps to hold the chair together. I take very careful care of these chairs to assure that this naturally dried raw material does not snap off to break away from where it belongs on the chair. I recently used GORILLA glue to paint over these brittle wrappings to cover and secure these in place. It provided a durable protective coating to hold the wrappings on securely. It is a difference compared to the brittle substance that was used to secure the wrappings in the first place. ... show more

I really like the look, weight and comfort of the chairs. My only issue is the bottom of the legs are prone to chipping. I still think they're worth the money but, if you do buy these, you will want to put some sort of protective cover on the bottom of the legs. I just give mine 3-4 coats of epoxy glue. Since I use them for the campfire and it's all sand where I live, being even on all the legs is not a big deal. ... show more

I use these chairs around my dining room table in a very tight space. They are the perfect touch for a folding chair - what an upgrade in style. I also purchased the cream-colored chair pads. I have had a lot of compliments on their look. The only thing I would change is the legs protrude out - we have to walk around them - but I would get them again in a heartbeat. I needed folding chairs but really hated the look of the standard folding chair. It costs more but is worth having the versatility of putting them away when not in use. ... show more

Certainly for the price, these chairs are great. The quality is good. Chairs are level, and they are plenty comfortable. They fold nicely and easily. I'm sensitive to most odors and scents, but I do not detect any of the odors other reviewers mentioned. The protective finish is applied liberally which will provide more protection. The look of the chairs is beautiful with the many shades of brown. I think they look rustically elegant. These are so attractive and perfect for extra seating at our cabin. The seat is flat so for shorter people a cushion would be more comfortable if sitting for a longer time. Came assembled and perfectly smooth to fold and open.
