  • Not bad, will need testing
Right off the bat, this thing SCREECHED when I tested the pressing action. Ouch! Maybe outside with some steady use, the issue will be muffled or prevented by the dirt? I imagine you can't oil it, not if you want to garden with edible plants. I ran one quick test batch of blocks just to be sure everything works, but it's too late for starts this season. • Great way to not have to use pots all of the time
I have a large garden every year and really try to cut back on the excess waste of tons of pots to plant my veggie starts in. I have always used the compostable cardboard like pots and they work really well, but you do have to buy them every year. I saw this and figured I might as well try it out! The soil was in nice little blocks and I was able to plant seeds in them. What I am not sure is if I will be able to have the blocks stay together when watering them or if the soil will fall apart. We shall see. I will try and update this at a later time. ... show more
