Super easy, just place on top of heat source (caution to hot is bad, not directly on cooking surface). I use in enclosed Gazebo on top of a metal chimney. It does help circulate air, NOT a lot but with the 2 pack definitely helps. Don't expect a breeze blowing in your face, but helps distribute otherwise wasted heat. The fans come just as described and do turn on from the heat of the wood-stove. However, they do not move around the heat like it says. You have to get close to an inch away from them to feel the movement of wind. Would not purchase or recommend

I got these to better move heat around my house. They have far exceeded my expectations. I have to stand about a foot further away from the stove with them on it than without them. I can feel the wind from them 2-3 feet away. They are very quiet as many have stated. The thermometer is not very accurate but gives a good idea of how much heat is being put out. ... show more
