Description

Flambeau Outdoors 4007 Tuff Tainer Divided is a versatile box for storing water sensitive fishing supplies such as baits, hooks, and fishing lures. The box is designed with a translucent lid and base for convenient identification of contents when closed. Includes 15 Zerust dividers to create up to 18 small compartments. Zerust products are made with a proprietary chemical formulation that is invisible, odorless, non-toxic, non-reactive, non-flammable and non- allergenic. This chemical formulation releases a vapor that diffuses throughout an enclosure made with Zerust VCI materials and settles on exposed metal surfaces to form a microscopic corrosion inhibiting layer.

I seem to be on a bad luck streak with tackleboxes lately but the bad luck is strictly my own overestimation of the tackle box's size. THAT ALL BEING SAID!!! This box is a fine product. I'm still able to put it to good use regardless. The blue plastic dividers come as a full strip that you can snap off and put into place as needed (I had no use for the dividers though). I use the box to store some old toys (Hot Wheels Batmobiles, Disney's Cars, etc.) and for the smaller ones it works fine but if it's larger than 1.5 inches it won't fit. I will not be getting a return on this since I was still able to satisfy my storage needs with it. ... show more

I'm using this to organize loose hardware. Works extremely well. Durability is good and it seals shut. Makes organization easy. For my purposes it is waterproof but I'm not using it in a fishing environment. My only complaint is that is does not come with enough latches. This limits the number of compartments. See photo. Wanted to consolidate my fishing tackle and organize it into a consistent sized plastic box. Have a bunch of random sizes that make finding my gear more trouble than it needs to be. • These work great. The 11'' x 7.25'' x 1.75'' for only $3,73 each is an incredible deal!!! If you bought these as “fishing tackle” boxes you would be spending more than twice the price or more. • Each box comes with 10 dividers. • LOVE the size. Perfect for a backpack fishing bag. The dividers come strips, linked with small plastic tabs. You need to cut them apart. Not a big deal but time consuming when you are doing 4 boxes at once. Also please note that there are not enough tabs to divide every section in the box. If you are like me one you wanted to have each of your lures in a separate compartment, just hope that you have some very large ones that take up 2 to 3 sections. Wish it came with one more strip of dividers. (only 10) per box Overall the build quality is great and the dividers fit well, lock into place securely and also help to give the case some extra rigidity because they lock in place. Not like some of those boxes that have a square channel for dividers, these are beveled and fit like a dovetail joint. Case locks are plastic, have a good from click and stay closed well. Nice snaps, pinned hinge, durable, compelling price. Vanagon owners note, these (4007) fit under the seat perfectly. A stack of 4 fill the deep well (alt battery) perfectly with room for a couple more forward of that. - happy campers. Cons: 1)The big sticker label on top/lid (not shown in product pictures) should be stuck to the bottom -leaving the lid clear. Pulling the label leaves the adhesive. PITA to remove. 2) molded walls may need to be cut up to fit some objects. ... show more
