I don't fish as much as I used to. I don't even like fish. Lately I've wanted to go once and a while, but after many years of not fishing all of my gear corroded away, dry rotted, etc. So, after emptying out the tackle box and throwing it in the dishwasher, I now had a clean EMPTY tackle box. So I picked up this little kit and surprisingly there is a lot of stuff crammed into it. I transferred all of it into my old tackle box and it filled it quite nicely. The lures are as good as any that I used to own, they're actually very nice. Quite a selection of hooks, weighted hooks, weights, rubber worms and such. I'm pretty happy overall with this purchase.

This is a huge assortment of tackle, great if you're starting from scratch. I was most impressed because of the price, I got it on sale for around $25, and for that price, this is an amazing kit. Everything you could want to play with trying to catch some bass. A friend who is a serious fisherman was checking out the rod and tackle I got as a starter set, and he was impressed with this, too. The case it comes in is totally packed solid. But, once you start taking things out and using them, it is very much more difficult to get the case closed. No biggie if I have to take some out to travel or even get a second/larger case, because the sheer amount of tackle in here makes the case not even an issue. There are a lot of pieces, and such a variety, everything from simple shining spinners to monster hooks and fake frogs! I don't know if I would be as excited if I had paid full retail, but it still would have been worth the money, I think. One weird, thing, the rubber worms, they have a slick feeling that left some kind of residue on my fingers, like an oil almost, and it smelled a little chemical-y.
