Update: seller got back to me and stated to check inside the underside of the couch for the missing pieces. Sure enough they were in there along with the instructions. Not sure how one is suppose to know to check inside the couch for parts without the instructions so perhaps the seller could include the instructions in a more obvious place for future customers. Also it’s been a couple months now and it’s held up great! Love the material because when my toddler makes a mess, I can just spray some cleaning solution and wipe it up super easy! Got this for a small living area in the basement. This is actually a pretty decent quality couch. Of course I just got it and assemble it today so time will tell true feelings but first impressions are good. Assembly was easy however I recommend having a screw gun handy to speed up the process. It’s very sturdy. Is it the most comfortable thing in the world? No, but I would definitely sleep on it and it’s a little bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise. Only problem is this came without the middle cup holder piece and the arm rest pillows. I sent a message to the seller so we will see what happens when they get back to me! ... show more

You get what you pay for with this couch. We bought it for my son’s 13th birthday for his room. It’s fairly small and sits low, was a perfect size for under his loft bed. It’s fairly firm and creaks when you sit on it. The cup holder section is connected by a piece of fabric so it can shift around a bit when it’s down. The “arm rests” are just very thin pillows that fall off the couch when you move. It’s very easy to put down into bed mode and back up into a couch position. This futon sofa bed is good quality and pretty color. The color is just like the picture. The sofa is sturdy once put together. I would have given the sofa five stars but it is really low to the floor. It is not the normal size of a couch. It is more for children.

    • Messy construction process, bad quality materials

This couch is a bit messy to construct and its design does not at all make a lot of sense. The package of hardware was split open so hardware and screws were flying everywhere around the boxes, which is a pretty hazardous thing considering a lot of the screws are pretty sharp and easy to step on. The tools provided to do the job were very flimsy and particularly the center console piece containing the cup holders also very hard to install. Not only was that piece deformed due to the wood splitting because of the bad choice of materials, but also its design limits the constructor heavily when it comes to installing the piece. Two of the pillows provided, which are the supposed armrests, were absolutely useless and small and were thrown away due to them limiting our sitting space. The designers of this product have made a lot of decisions to cut costs, like not providing screw holes where screw holes are supposed to be and choosing cheap materials. On the other end they made a lot of decisions that increased the costs that make no sense, like providing the useless pillows, the flimsy centerpiece console with the cupholders, and a whole bunch of extra hardware that is not used in the assembly of the product. For these reasons, I am going to go ahead and say that it is the poor design and engineering of this product that makes this a 2 star review. I am aware that the product is cheap and "you get what you pay for", but this product's cost could even be cheaper and better by having a better design philosophy. ... show more
