For $6ish, I can’t argue with the price. Cutting edge of bit appears to have chipped after about a month with maybe 10 bf ran through it. Maybe it was too deep of passes or maybe it was poor quality, can’t say for sure. Ordered another one because the price is excellent for what I need.

I’m very new to the world of routers. So I needed something to make 1/16 recessed grooves and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. Bought a 3/4 straight bit and plugged it into my router, measured the depth and started cutting hoping my measurements were correct. The job turned out surprisingly well. Nice flat groove in my Mdf. Now if I could just get my countersink abilities up to par (kind of ruined the nice routing with a terrible countersink for the screws). ... show more

Surprisingly decent quality for the price. They were shipped in plastic boxes inside a cardboard box. The carbide seems pretty heavy duty. I don't think I'd use them for detail work, but they more than meet my needs.

I use these bits to run cut birch plywood. First 5 cuts are precise and clean. After that…. 5 more cuts and you can throw it away. Too much set up time.

This is a good router bit - great for the price. I have not used anywhere near to the full length of the cutting surface (2") and I imagine it would tax the bit. But it works well on shallow cuts for grooves and countersinking a surface area - both in softer woods.

This is a quality straight-cut dual-flute router bit. It is packaged in a nice protective container, if you store your router bits that way. I used it to cut a 1/2" deep groove in a large oak plank, and as you can see in the picture the groove is a perfect fit for 3/4" plywood. In my case, I had to make a second cut to widen the groove to 1", as it will be for a 1"x4" piece of solid oak that will be a lengthwise brace for the oak slab. I am including a picture of the finished cut with the brace in place - it's the bottom side of a sitting bench, so the brace is for long-term stability of the top. I also cut the pockets for the bench leg assemblies with this bit. The bit performed very well. It cut smooth and clean, which is notable because the red oak I was cutting was a slab out of a very old tree cut down in northern California about 15 years ago. It was probably the most dense and hard oak I've ever worked with. This bit is designed for plunge cutting as well, by the design of the cutter wings extending below the shaft, which allows for better material removal.
