These are great. As stated wash them with dish soap and the smell will disappear. I mean they are rubber, they smell a little like rubber.

Got my man this for his birthday a year ago and it’s still here with us today almost a year later. It’s worth it it’s heavy, the ends are like rubber. My man always get him a good workout with these.

Don’t pay attention to the bad reviews. These dumbbells are excellent. Well crafted quality very good. The shipping was great one big box with four boxes inside which separated the four pair that I purchased 5,10,15,20 the one outside box was torn no big deal. It was expected after all you are ordering weights. Very little rubber smell a small amount of oil no big deal just wipe down and started working out. The price was a little less then the other brands but, the quality five stars I highly recommend this company. If you want to save money and get the quality, I will definitely buy my next set from them. Have fun

Gym quality dumbbells set. The only reason I’m giving it a four star rating is because of the toxic odor. I read previous reviews and prior to bringing them in the house I wiped them down and cleaned them. I even let them sit out of the box in a screened in porch for a day to try to eliminate any odor. I’m truly hoping that whatever odor is being eliminated is not toxic because it is very pungent and has not diminished over a week.
