This is a fantastic audio stand! Solid glass shelves with rounded corners and contemporary styling, sturdy construction, and easy assembly. My four-year old son and I put this together in about twenty minutes, with no tools. You screw four long rods into the top shelf, slide metal tubes, bushings, and shelves onto the rods until you get to the bottom, fasten caps on the end of the rods to tighten everything together, screw in leveling feet and flip it over. Done! The shelf heights aren't adjustable, but each shelf is sufficiently high to accommodate virtually any individual component, including many of the taller amps. I put my turntable on top, a pro-grade VHS deck (for A/D mastering) under that on the "short" shelf, and two cassette decks on the shelves beneath (again, for A/D mastering). I had hoped to stack the two cassette decks and fit on one shelf, but there's not quite enough headroom for both. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is a 4 shelf unit, however my installation required a 12 inch clearance over a power supply that could not go on a shelf due to weight and dimensions. There was enough height with the adjustable feet to combine two of the shelves together and give me the necessary clearance because the rods go all the way from the base to the top with the dividing sections being composed of metal tubes and plastic caps. Although it wasn't an absolutely perfect fit because the caps are meant to fit into the holes in the glass shelves in a specific direction for support and rigidity I find that overall the stand is stable and provides enough space for a turntable on top and some components underneath. The stand also goes well with an adjacent TV stand that's smoked glass and metal as well.

Once assembled this media stand looks great, especially at this price. The glass shelves are thick, so it looks like a higher priced stand. You assemble it upside down and have to screw the thinner rods into the top glass shelve. I used some pipe grips for this, as its pretty hard to get any grip to turn the rods (so you'll probably need some pliers or grips). The assembly is easy though. The sleeves that go over the rods look a bit thin, but once its assembled they look good.
