I am very much a beginner in the world of martial arts and started hitting my friends heavy bag in a communal garage. I loved the exercise and the stress relief so I invested in my own heavy bag. I was using garden gloves to hit the bag and at first I was even using bare hands. I skinned my knuckles pretty good with bare hands so I had to take about a month off before I could hit again. Even though the wound was healed and I was using garden gloves it still hurt on the spot I skinned my knuckle. I was looking for a glove that provided just a bit of padding that would protect my knuckles from being skinned and the impact of the punch. I got these FitsT4 just tonight and I just used them for the first time. They are perfect. I can hit the bag full force with no problem. What I like is that they are not cumbersome like boxing gloves. I suppose this is just personal preference. They are great looking, fit well, and are really fun to use. My palm measured just around 3.75" which put me smack in between a L and XL (5'9" male 160 lbs). After looking through the reviews people said to size up and so I went with the XL. They fit well enough to where I wouldn't consider returning them for a large. With that said I would imagine that the large would have fit also and maybe a bit better in the long run as I'd "stretch" into the large with prolonged usage. Overall I'm super happy. These are perfect for hitting the heavy bag. Last note - there is a cylindrical roll in the palm of the mitt in order to promote squeeze strength while making a fist. For hitting the heavy bag I like this feature. For MMA or grappling I'm not sure how good that feature would be.

This is more than enough for me when doing bag work. I can't say much about the wrist support, since I'm conditioned to not need it, but it seems like it provides enough wrist support. The materials seem sturdy enough for the price. Sizing was snug, not bad. I often do bare knuckle bag work but deal with skin tearing from friction as a result, so these gloves protect the skin on my knuckles and so far no issues. Again, it's inexpensive, so there's really not much more I can really ask for.

Love the fit, wish they had an easier way to remove them but then again they are a great fit. Be sure to measure your hand as suggested to get the right fit. Used them today for first time and they didn't move, felt very comfortable hitting the bag. Didn't hurt the knuckles at all and the low price could not be happier. The two-part velcro keeps everything snug. Found a new cardio warm up. Thanks!

I always have a hard time finding gloves that fit my hands. I have short fingers and small hands (ring size 4.5, palm 3"). The size small fit good, actually a bit tight, but once you punch a bit your hands get used to the feeling. The only thing I don't like is it is not as protective as regular full gloves. They very easily bruise you and scratch when you miss the middle of the punching bag. It's better than using them bare-handed and they're a lot more lightweight than my full gloves, which I love so I'll keep them, but definitely be prepared to get injured.
