Great gloves for Dragon Boating and Kayaking. Very durable and hand washable. 3/4 length gives great protection for knuckles and good padding on palms. Comfortable and plenty of movement. On my second pair of these gloves. The first ones were still going strong after many months of use, but unfortunately they were misplaced and never found. I use these primarily when playing with my flowtoys/flow props (poi, contact staff, puppyhammer, etc.) for extended sessions. Many of these motions involve a fair amount of friction while gripping ropes and knobs in various configurations, and I found sailing gloves to be the best solution to increase grip and prevent blisters. The finger length is perfect, providing enough protection in the right places, while leaving the fingertips open for dexterity and tactility. The wrist cuff part is nice and thin; doesn't restrict wrist mobility like some others I've tried with larger cuffs.

I always seem to blister the insides of my thumbs when kayaking. Was looking for gloves for water sports that would provide some cushion for the inside of the thumb. The fit is a bit on the small side. I am 5'6" with large hands for a woman. I found the men's large to be comfortably snug. My husband who is 5'9" used the Xtra large. A large man would not be able to find these in a comfortable size. They did provide a little protection for the inside of the thumbs but I could have used more. They tolerated getting wet. Not sure how long they will last. Price was fine for what you got.

Purchased other gloves that were marketed for kayaking and they barely offered any padding at all and was still getting blisters, these however have been great. Used many tines no issues at all.

These are quality made products but they're stiff. My forearms would hurt when I used them for kayaking because I to had overcome the stiffness when gripping the paddle. I didn't notice it paddling easy water. But when I got into class for Whitewater I found I was having to grip the paddle harder than normal and thus my forearms tired out much quicker.

Although these gloves are designed primarily for sailing, kayaking and other water sports, they are great for rock scrambling. The 3/4 (or 2/3)-finger gloves have the fingertips exposed, and it is the fingertips that provide grip on rocks/boulders and touch sensitivity. The gloves protect the hands from cuts by sharp rocks/boulders and thorny plants. The synthetic leather on the palm side of the gloves provides durability. The black areas with red stitches on the palm side of the gloves have the texture of "smooth sand paper" and hence provide grip, which synthetic (or real) leather would not. The mesh fabric on the back of the hand provides cooling and is sufficiently durable. The gloves do not feel bulky, and both gloves fit in the back pocket of a short whenever one needs to remove the gloves. My only complaint about these gloves is that the small velcro-attachment area of the gloves at the wrist should be larger. I highly recommend these gloves for rock scrambling.

I use these gloves for rowing (about 60-90 minutes a day), they work great. Other gloves I have tried have worn out fairly quickly, but these do not. They do run just a tiny bit smaller than other gloves, but they fit well (albeit a bit tight). I am very happy with these gloves and will certainly be buying more in the future.

I normally wear a large glove. i followed the reviews for these and ordered XL. There is no way large would have fit. XL are still a little tight putting on, but they do stretch a little when wearing. I do like them for paddling. The padding is definitely stiff to start out and does relax a little. I was able to go on a couple trips with them and did like them.
