I mean this in a good way! I have large thighs and skinny calves which makes it difficult to find a brace that is both supportive and snug. I got the XL size and it was perfect. With the different straps you can tighten it to what's comfortable. Best part is that you don't have to cut off circulation for it to stay up! I don't have an injury or anything, just bad knees. It makes it hard to squat or lift heavy items at work but this brace made me feel like superman. I had to squat and lift a 30 lb bucket of water and the stress it took off my knee was practically magical. Anyway, there are probably better brace options but not for 30 dollars. If you want a good brace on a tighter budget, stick with this one. Bit of advice, don't wear it over loose jeans because then it will slip.

This brace is better than the cloth braces. Because it has metal hinges on the side, it is much better at stabilizing the knees range of motion. It is a bit bulky, so they may not fit under your pants. I went to the UK to hike the mountains of Wales. I wore these on my right knee for four days of hiking. This along with my hiking poles made the experience enjoyable. I did notice though that the muscles just above my knee got tight and inflamed, probably because due to the stabilization, these smaller muscles got worked out more than the quads? Not sure. Either way, I highly recommend this brace for every day activities to limit the pain, improve range of motion, and help recovery from injury such as meniscus tears.

I bought two different sets of braces for my knees; a cheaper one and this one. They both fit great, however, the reason why I kept this brand is because of the material they used over the entire product and the craftsmanship! It is superior to the other one by far. I need them because it gives me extra support to perform my walking, standing for long periods of time, and lifting heavy things at my job and throughout the rest of my day. The velcro is amazing because of the extra padding and stitching, which makes it ideal in case of overuse, and sharp edges will not poke the skin. Thank you for the great product I would recommend to anyone who needs a boost in thir daily performance!

I tore my meniscus and needed some support playing tennis and pickleball. I had a brace that was special made and given to me by my ortho which I believe were quite expensive. This brace feels almost exactly the same and has the knee supports to keep me from hyper-extending. This is exactly like the other brace but a bit more compact. It really gives me the mental support to keep playing and not fear tearing my meniscus further or my ACL. Really easy to put on and take off. I played one day without it and noticed a huge difference in pain and swelling in my knee and now wear it every time. For this price it was a no-brainer and I would highly recommend

I will add a pad that will fit under clamping bands and put pressure on rear of knee, this will maybe help push Meniscus out to keep pressure in knee. If you point your toes up to get out of vehicle after 20 minutes or more of driving just to prevent pain, get your knee looked at by a doctor, preferably one who will let you look at the MRI that you pay a fortune for, if they say you can not look at it when done, leave and find another doctor that will. I have heard mixed reviews about Meniscus surgery, some very well by 130 lb lady jogger, bad reviews by 200+ pound guys who don't run. Some surgeries remove "folded over or torn flap"?, some sew it up? i think?, that is what i got from the lady jogger. She said 2 days of minor pain after scope surgery, maybe 2 months all healed up? The guys all said they were bone on bone. I will probably get another brace soon for wear and tear on mine. i abuse mine, i wash it with hot water in bathtub and let hang dry in front of basement bathroom dehumidifier condenser cooler fan discharge. I don't wear it on 3 hour or longer road trips, or bed. Skin will get deformed under it, and could itch. Use Deep woods OFF if outside, openings in brace are perfect for feeding mosquitos. Everyone i have seen with a brace on will see mine and we stop and talk about knee problems for at least 2 minutes. When i found out about Meniscus from chiropractor (i thought it was out of place) i started to baby knee, now everything else is getting sore. I would like more stiffeners, i might add some. The brace is not perfect, but metal hinges and support wires do help stabilize my crunching knee and help quite a bit in controlling my wobble while trying to a straight line. It feels as if it helps support my weight to some extent. The downside, as with all braces I have tried so far, is that it binds on the backside of the knee and pinches the skin. The rubber ribs, which help keep it from slipping down your leg, end up red and ribbed to the skin and therefore somewhat ready to take off after a couple of hours. It has a total of 6 straps, the two smaller ones irritate the skin the most. One good advantage with this type brace is that you can fix it over long pants to make a quick run to the mailbox. You have to take full length pants off to put on the closed-style sleeves. This is open and you can easily adjust it to your personal requirements, tightening or loosening as required. All in all, it is a decent brace with metal hinges and personal adjustment.
