I picked up a pair of Fiskars Floral Pruning Shears recently for deadheading my flowers and some light pruning. Overall, they're a pretty good option. They're smaller than regular pruning shears, which makes them handy for getting in close on flowers and fiddly plants. The blades are sharp and cut cleanly, which helps prevent crushed stems. Plus, they have a little built-in thing to grab and remove stem sap, which is a nice touch. There are a couple things to keep in mind though. First, the cutting capacity isn't huge, so they're not great for thick branches. Second, the handles are on the smaller side. If you have big hands, they might not be the most comfortable for extended use. But overall, for delicate gardening tasks and flower arranging, these shears are a good choice. Best pruning shears I've owned. I use it for trimming my... flowers, yeah, and when it comes time to harvest. They clean easily and are comfortable in my hands when using an extended period of time. So far the blade has remained as sharp as the day I opened them.

I needed a new sharp pair of shears and was so happy to see that this one was being offered on Vine. Fiskars is a good name and it has been one that has stood the test of time. I know it's not a function but I do like the color pink. So why not have happy tools? In addition, they are easy to spot when I put them down who-knows-where when I am trimming, deadheading, and weeding. They are hardier than you may think and can cut through a good, thick stem without a problem. They are also easy to clean and seem durable, two qualities that I think are important with any tool. My only complaint is that my hands are smaller and the grip, although it IS comfortable, opens up really wide and makes it difficult to hold in my hand without it giving way at times. I haven't used the stripper function yet so can't comment on that. I have strong hands from playing the piano and other musical instruments for decades. But this one feature is one that makes it difficult to use. ... show more

These arrive safely and cutely packaged. Cut this off the cardboard card and then slide these out of the plastic safety shield. You will find that the pink part of the handle is grippy and comfortable. Now, switch the safety latch carefully, knowing that these will pop open unless you hold them closed as you slide this. This spring system is amazing at preventing fatigue. And these are so sharp and so accurate! If you take good care of these (always cleaning them after a gardening session), these will last for years and years. And, I find the cuts to be excellent! Nothing is bent, nothing is torn ... just a clean cut every single time! A really nice little pair of pruners! Recommended! ... show more

I actually have several pairs of gardening clippers and I honestly thought they were all pretty much them same, until I used these. They are by far the sharpest clippers, and the handle is really comfortable to hold. They are big enough to handle small branches but not too heavy to hold. We have gardeners for our condo community but I have a lot of solar decorations so I'm careful to keep the grass trimmed around my decorations. I don't want the gardeners trying to trim and getting too close and breaking my things, and these shears are going to make it so much easier and faster to do my part in trimming the weeds, grass and small bushes around my part of the yard. I just knew they would be good because Fiskars is such a good, well known brand and I was right! ... show more

I have some old Fiskars shears that have held up very well, having seen heavy garden use from me, & I have no doubt these cute (smaller) shears will have a similarly long life. I like that these really fit my hands comfortably, & the sharp cutting action makes them a pleasure to prune with. They even have useful notches for stripping stems & cutting wire so you don't have to run back to the shed or garage for another tool. My trusty pruning shears have dulled over time but they have served me well. The Fiskars brand is familiar from all their crafting supplies. I have many pairs of their scissors so why not pruning shears? The shears are light-weight. The pink comfort grip is okay but I wish it had more give. My existing shears have a full rubber grip handle which I find more comfortable. I feel like these need a bit more grip. The closure switch is also not as smooth as could be for the thumb to push. It clearly clicks into to place when locking but unlocking was less smooth and not obvious when you fully unlocked it. The blade cut very smoothly. There was no pressure when snipping a few peony stems. The blade itself is thin and stayed clean. It’s early so the easy of cutting could simply be because it’s new. I am also curious how the plastic handles hold up over time. I hope they hold up to heat and possible accidental drops. ... show more

These are nice pruning shears to use for your house plants and flowers. I have a lot of houseplants and I like to keep them pruned from dead leaves or stray pieces. I had been using the same shears Inise outside, but these are a bit smaller than those and much easier to use. My houseplants do not have really thick pieces to cut off. I just need a sharp, clean cut and these shears did a great job. I also used them to cut the bottoms off of some flowers from the grocery store before putting them in water. I love the pink color and that also helps me keep track of which shears I am using indoors only. ... show more
