This is my second pole and I really like how easy these are to use because they can collapse. The sections all slide smoothly and the size is perfect. Both poles of mine have held up well and performed great for all types of freshwater fish. I like the bag/case it came with too as it is convenient.

I purchased 2 of these QudraKast Fishing Rod and Reel Combos in Blue. I got these 2 combos on an Amazon Lightning Deal and couldn't be happier. The reason I purchased 2 kits was because I bought one for my Son as a birthday present and one for myself so that I could teach my Son how to fish just like my Father taught me how to fish many years ago. I didn't want my Sons kit to be a Childs kit. I wanted him to see that he was using the exact same rod and reel combo that I was using to make him feel important and confident. Both of the kits that I purchased were in Blue and Black colors. A very nice color combination that has a very professional appearance. The fishing reel is blue and black and it matches the blue and black fishing pole nicely. The rod extends nicely and does not bind up when you extend it. The reel has a very nice feel and the bearings used in it spin freely. The handle on the reel is reversible so that you can change the side of the reel that you are most comfortable with. Everything feels comfortable in my hand with a professional feel and appearance. The reason I chose this kit from QudraKast was because I wanted a nicely packaged fishing kit that included everything I would need to just take it out of my truck and go to the lake when I was given the opportunity. That meant that I needed a telescoping rod that would collapse to a minimum length in order to keep it tucked away under my seat. This telescoping fishing rod served that purpose perfectly. But I needed more and this kit provided that also. I needed a nice reel that had good bearings and would spin freely and have a reversible handle so I could move the handle from one side to the other when I needed to. I also needed the kit to have some tackle such as hooks, weights, lures and fishing line. This kit provided ALL of those items also. In addition to all of these requirements, I needed the fishing kit to come in a box that would easily slide under any car or truck seat. This kit came in a flat box which had a nice form-fitted foam insert that had cut-out sections perfectly molded to surround each and every component of the kit with a custom fit. So with all of these requirements I needed for a nice fishing kit that included everything I needed, that is why I chose this well-made fishing kit by QudraKast. I have many fishing rods that are of professional quality but because they are so long and do not collapse like this kit does, it is impossible to take it anywhere unless I dedicate a trip just for transporting my fishing gear. This very complete kit makes fishing on any vacation trip a joy and I do not have to have my pole hanging out of the car window or hanging out of the back of my truck. I can neatly tuck the rod, reel, tackle and the foam storage compartment under any car or truck seat and forget about it until I need it.

It takes a moment to figure out the reel if you're not big on fishing all the time, but once you figure it out (I recommend a video if you're not used to these kind of poles) it's really nice and smooth and it casts quite far effortlessly, it's lightweight as stated and quite durable but obviously I'm banging it against rocks and whatnot every chance I get and the retractability is great for saving space and packing. The string ofc takes some time to get used to the reel so be gentle and hold onto it lightly when you reel it back in to train it, I lost my frog lure that came with the pole almost immediately haha but it was pretty good and so is the little fish lure. My only problems are the string getting stuck in parts of the reel you wouldn't think possible so be smarter than me and have patience when it comes to reeling the line back in and you'll have a good time! Also make sure to tape down the bottom cap of the pole it fell off for me even though I kept tightening it but it's not a huge loss and is an easy fix.

The product photos show the package to include hooks, lures and fishing line, basically everything you need in this one deal and all that we received was the fishing pole. My son was crushed as he used his own money to purchase this and thought he was getting everything he needed to get going. Can’t speak on any other aspect of this product other than it does collapse like the images show. But very disappointed in the false advertising.
