This set has only been used for fishing freshwater catfish, but it did really well for the task at hand. I would not use this for saltwater fishing due to the small size. It is easy to use and very portable. The rods are durable so far, but one of the rods got stuck out after telescoping to full length. It refuses to go back in. I have not forced it for fear of damaging the rod. The bag is kind of a nylon canvas, durable, with durable zippers and carrying handles. The bag stores the rods well when they are not extended. There is a really small container for tackle. Another thing I did not like about the reel was that when I put a heavier line on the reel, it would not hold much at all. This is ok for pond fishing, camping, or hiking, but I would not likely take it anywhere I had to depend on it for dinner.

A great all in one kit for the casual fisherman or perhaps some visiting grandchildren. Comes with two rods and reels, line, some lures and a handy case to store it all in. I like the way the rods collapse into a convenient size for carrying, but they are certainly not the top quality rods that a serious fisherman or pro would use. Of course, for such a low price I think most folks would understand that at a glance. Again, I think the best use would be for an occasion with visitors and friends just to get outdoors and enjoy nature for a while. For that I think it's a great value.

I'm not much into fishing now, but I used to go fishing with my dad on our boat when I was younger. I had been considering carrying a small fishing rod in backup bag I keep and my vehicle. I have such things as a collapsible shovel that I bought from Amazon, a Little compressor for tires, jumper cables, and a few other miscellaneous things. This collapsible fishing rod set is a good deal! The rods are decent but light duty mostly I would use them for freshwater fishing.The reels s operate smoothly, it comes with decent quality 30 lb line and some lures but I would definitely put the lures I feel I would need for freshwater fishing in Florida. The case has an extra pocket so you can add things. If you like to fish and sometimes you drive by a little lake that you just like to throw a line in, maybe after work, this would be a great little kit to have. Also this would make a nice gift.

The first thing I want to say is that this is not an everyday fishing pole set, but if you enjoy fishing, and you need something compact and easy to use, this is a great option. For me personally, the biggest advantage is that this is something I can keep in my car or a go bag so that I’ve got a set of fishing poles anytime I might need them. Construction quality is good for the price. The reels spin easily and the rods feel durable for their size, more than adequate for small fish in a lake or stream. Pretty much everything you need is included, except of course live bait. Really, this kit is perfect for road trips where storage space is limited and, it would also make a useful addition to an emergency kit, especially if you live in a rural area. It really wasn’t my first consideration when I ordered this set, but given the compact form factor, and the quality of these poles, it’s a natural fit.

When I ordered this, it was $50, and now you can get the same kit for as low as $35, which is a screaming good deal. This comes with everything as pictured and it sets you up for a quick trip to the fishing hole. It's all good quality materials and the rods are durable. The reels are smooth and everything packs away neatly when you're done. It's a solid value.
