This fishing kit was well packaged in a lightweight bag with a clear plastic front panel. Its small size allows you to keep the kit in your car for when the urge to go fishing hits you without having to plan. The 2 poles while in the storage configuration are nicely compact. They are light weight and flexible. When fully extended, they are quite long and have plenty of action. The 2 open face spinning reels are also light weight and come pre-spooled with fishing line, however there is also extra line provided in the kit when necessary. There is also a small tackle box with lead jig head hooks, some plastics, spinners, and spoon lures. Enough to get you and a friend fishing in a pinch. You are not going to use choose this kit to enter a fishing tournament, but it is great for an impromptu stop at your favorite fishing hole. This makes a great gift for your favorite angler. There are four issues I have had with this product. One the fishing line is easily break. So you need to change the line out with stronger line. Two the top section of the pole will leave fiberglass splinters in your finger when pull the pole out or when putting the section of pole closed down. Third the section of it came lose on multiple sections of the pole, the area that holds the fishing line as shown in the picture. Four it says saltwater fishing. I had a fish on the line and it broke the pole and the fish was able to get away with the lure. I am going to get hold of Amazon to see what to do next since it broke. ... show more

My 11 yo son gets reintroduced to fishing, after 5 years of break. When he was six, I introduced him to it, but he was too small to appreciate it and so I took a break waiting for when the time was right. He is showing interest in fishing so I decided to order extra gear - this set fits the bill perfectly. It is very compact, takes no space and you get two spinnings with reels and even mono on the . I immediately replaced mono with a braided line, but the mono was okay, not too light not too heavy. Reels are good, no issues. I did not try the lures that came with it, they are on a small size, but I did not order because of them either. All in all I am very happy with this set for the price. The bag is a kind of pain in ass to pack back into once you install reels, these two rods barely fit in it. ... show more
