Its a solid starter kit for anyone looking to fill out their gear without spending a fortune on individual lures. It covers a wide range of water conditions. This is a good basic tackle kit for bass and pan fish. It is a bit over-packed, but better to get too much than not enough. The lures are pretty standard types, sizes, and colors, although there is one soft plastic lure that I've never seen before. It's a bright pink soft plastic with the hook concealed. I thought it was just a practice casting plug at first. But it does have a hook that I think would be hard to actually hook a fish on because it is buried so deep in the plastic. Other than that, I like the kit.

The pricing on this is crazy-good... I've bought a single lure at close to this price (granted I really wanted a specific popper) and didn't get a case w/it. This is set is absolutely superb for any angler and is a great gift to your children when you're wanting to get them into fishing w/out dropping lots of money. Really, just a great deal here. 5/5 and a hardy recommendation.

I am pretty new to fishing and mainly wanted something that would let me try different things without having to buy a bunch of separate gear. This set does that. There is a lot packed into the box, and honestly it helped me understand what different lures even do just by having them in front of me. The case is small enough to toss in a backpack and not think about it. Everything stayed in place when moving it around, which I was worried about at first. I like that it has a mix of soft baits and hard lures which makes it easier to switch things up when nothing seems to be biting. Some of the lures definitely feel more basic than others, but for starting out that is not really a problem. The hooks came sharp enough, and I did not notice any bending or issues using them. I am not going after huge fish, so this feels fine for ponds, lakes, and just learning how to cast and retrieve properly. What I like most is that it takes the pressure off choosing gear. I can try things, see what works, and figure out what I like before spending more money later. Not everything will get used all the time, but having options helps when you are still figuring things out. Overall, this feels like a solid beginner kit with a huge variety which gives you a lot of functionality for the money.
