Springtime is a great time for anglers. You finally get to spend time on the water again. And, if you are like me, it can be a frustrating time because the knots you could tie 'in the dark' were forgotten over the winter due to lack of practice. It would take a review session on how to tie the knot and then practice to get back to 'speed'. These cards are very nice in that they are SMALL, WATERPROOF and easy to store. I used the pictures to help my fingers find the right way to tie the two types of knots that I tend to use and then looked over the others while considering if changing to them might be beneficial. These cards are roughly the size of a standard 'business' card and are gathered with a rivet in a corner. This is where the caribeener can attach. The information is printed on both sides of the cards - 1 knot per side. This solution is one that easily fits inside tackle boxes of almost every size. 5 stars

Waterproof. Portable. Clear diagrams are easy to understand. A few words are lost in the corner grommet, but the how-to parts are clear.

I learned some of these a very long time ago. Over the years, I have forgotten many of them. Having these as a handy reference is great! I like that they are laminated. They are also fastened together with a rivet and a carabiner clip is provided for attaching to someplace handy. The rivet is a bit tight, making it somewhat difficult to move them apart. A solution might have been to put something between each card where the rivet is. The small size is both a blessing and a curse to those of us with eyesight problems. Overall, though, I really like these. While this may seem a bit pricey, IMHO this is well worth the cost. Great Fathers Day gift!

This is a great set of reference cards to keep with my fishing gear to remind me of the intricacies for some of the more complex knots. It has all of the knots I use most frequently except for the FG knot. That said, it does include the Alberto knot which works almost as well. The cards are made from durable, stiff plastic and look like they will last a long time. The instructions are clearly written and easy to follow. The only negative is the placement of the brass rivet that holds the cards together. It's positioned in a way that obscures the title of the knot on half of the cards. I used a fine point Sharpie to write the names of these cards where it isn't obscured, making them a little easier to use.

My grandson is just getting into fishing and these were the perfect gift to aid in his fishing knowledge. The nice sturdy composition of the cards lend to their durability. They have great pictures/instructions on the most common/useful knots for anglers of all types and situations.

This is a set of six pocket sized plastic cards. The high quality cards are wear, mud, grit and water resistant. Each card has a colored illustration and instructions for tying two fishing line knots. The cards have a metal grommeted hole and metal carabiner to keep them organized and ready to use. The cards are perfectly sized for pockets and use in the field. The covered knots are typical for fishing enthusiasts. I keep these cards in my tacklebox so that they are handy and ready to use whenever I'm camping, hiking or fishing. The illustrations and instructions are very easy to understand and follow. Would recommend these to anyone.

The set fits in the palm of your hand. Not very big but you can clearly follow along and read. They are coated so they won't get damaged in water. I have already added two new knots to my repertoire. That makes me happy. Thumbs up!

I purchased this Fishing Knot Cards - Waterproof Deck for Expertly Tying 12 Essential Fishing Knots | Includes Mini Carabiner | Perfect for Novices and Pros, Ideal for Rigging, Practice & Deep Sea Fishing as I thought it was a really neat idea to have a compact instructional knot tying flip deck.. However it does have a pretty poor flaw that can't be ignored. Unfortunately, the brass rivet holding the deck together is punched right through the titles of the knots rendering 50% of the names of the knots completely unreadable, therefore it doesn't help you learn the name of some of the knots you would actually be tying. I was going to give this product as a gift to an avid fisherman in my family but that's not going to happen now considering they took what would have been a pretty cool product and rendered it somewhat unusable.
