Not sure you could make this any better. It's metal, thick, sturdy Desk "C" clamp works perfectly. Clamp opens very wide for w/e thickness your desk is. Holds tight. The cup holder part is large and has a slot on side for mug handles. The cup swivels so you can face the mug handle how you want. The headphone hook is also metal and rotates so you can angle that how you want. If I was designing this thing myself, this is what I would make. It's perfect.

I usually sit in our glider at the family cabin, sipping on a can of diet Mountain Dew in an insulated holder. I will sometimes spill this can of pop when I get off the glider. Most cup holders will hold the can but not the can in an insulated can holder. This one does, and it attaches to the arm of the glider easily with the attached tightening bolt.

It's a good size. I like how there's a gap in the side to slide in a handle. Underneath the tray is a screw that we need to tighten to keep the drink holder from coming loose. The screw has come loose on me once already. If you don't rotate the cup holder to reposition where the gap is, the problem probably won't return for a while, but at least it's an easy fix. They included some washers, I think they would be better if they were a bit wider.
