  • Cool Batmobile toy
The media could not be loaded. === My Take === My 4-yr-old daughter is currently very into RC and electronic toys so I got this for her because of its cool transforming & sound effect functionalities. As expected, she was delighted by it and she's having a blast with it. The remote controller is very light and designed well for smaller children's hands. She had no trouble holding it comfortably and using it to control the Batmobile. Although the toy is made of light & cheap-feeling plastic, it looks well-built and durable. The transforming part works reliably without any glitches. So did the disc launcher I wish I could manually control with a separate button. As it is, the discs will always launch whenever the Batmobile transforms and there is no way to stop the discs from being fired. The talking robotic voice fits with the theme of the Batmobile but there isn't a lot of variety. During quieter times, it sounds pretty loud so I was hoping for some sort of volume adjustment. Unfortunately, there isn't one. Not even a Mute button. As for how it moves, I was surprised to find out that none of the four exterior wheels are actually powered by the motor. Instead, there are two tires underneath the body that propel the Batmobile. They aren't too large and, as a result, they had difficulty getting traction on our medium-thick carpet. The Batmobile scooted along just fine most of the time but it would get stuck once in a while. Rotation was almost impossible. Driving the toy on smooth surfaces is definitely the preferred way for faster speeds and better control. Perhaps I'm expecting too much from a children's toy but due to its $70 price point, I expected more fine-tuning options. In the end, however, my daughter loves it and she doesn't notice the flaws like I do. 😃 _____ *Pros: -Lots of plastic but well-built and durable. -Remote controller is responsive and works well. It's light enough for children. -Transforming part looks cool and the kids loved it. _____ *Neutral: -I wish the discs wouldn't fire automatically after transforming. There should've been a separate trigger/button for the discs. -I wish there was sound volume adjustment and/or a Mute button. _____ *Cons: -The four exterior tires are not powered by the motor. The "real" tires are underneath the car and they have difficulty getting traction on my medium-thick carpet. -Quite expensive at $70. For what it offers, I think $30 would've been a fair price. ... show more

  • Do not buy 2 of these!
Bought for two brothers. They are both on the same frequency, and therefore can not be used at the same time. The boys were disappointed and I was disappointed. Bought early for a Christmas gift and unable to return now.

  • UPDATE: WOULD NOT BUY
I'm giving this 5 stars simply because it is the most wanted thing for my son this Christmas. It's a santa gift so he hasn't played yet. I have taken it out and inspected it to make sure it works. So far everything looks good and I am sure he will be over joyed on Christmas morning. **Update: I do NOT recommend wasting your money. We had it he played with it a handful of times and it stopped working. It is completely useless now. We gave it for Christmas and by February with very little use it was dead. We replaced batteries and everything we could think of and nothing. Do not waste your money on this junk** ... show more

  • Very impressive battle
Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 4yo. I had seen it last year and didn’t want to pay the $80+ price tag, but purchased much lower on a sale this year; definitely a good value at the lower price! Very very impressive when it transforms! Awesome sounds and “battle mode” action, although I will say that the actual driving leaves a bit to be desired - not fast and really struggles over the slightest unevenness (we have Saltillo tile and it basically only works on our hardwood areas). So far ours works well and our little son loves it! He has not stopped playing with it for days and he can easily use the toddler-friendly remote. It was a huge hit from Santa and he was extremely impressed upon opening! Really fun! All in all, glad I didn’t pay $80+ for it a while back, but happy with it for less. ... show more

  • Waste of money
This unit was broken out of box. We purchased well before my son's bday and it was 30 days after when we opened. The right side doesn't automatically come back up when going from battle station to car. Also the car is super slow and can not make any transition from floor to carpet. Very difficult to manuever as well. An absolute waste of money. I'll be calling the retailer as well to try and get money back. Garbage. ... show more

  • Definitely a cool toy
Durable and cool to play with. Got it for my three year old but my 9 year old ended up playing with it. The whole thing looks pretty cool when it moves into the different positions. I'd say my 3 year old is almost too little for this, but he might be interested later on again, if we hide it for a few months and bring it out again in the spring. Anyway, everyone was impressed by just being it, so would recommend as a present if you want to impress a little one. ... show more

  • I'd give -stars if I could
We received this toy a few days before my sons birthday when we opened it, it was already ripped from the packaging. The remote was flying around the box out of the plastic, there was no batman figure, and it was used the wheels has gunk all over them. My son has asked for this toy for almost 3 years and we finally were able to get it for him and it was trash and now had to go back. Very disappointed. ... show more
