This stuff is genuinely amazing. When our son was first born, he developed a gnarly diaper rash over the first week, just so sore and angry looking. We tried petroleum based diaper ointment and it was only getting worse. Reviews really recommended this so we gave it a go. This helped within the first 24 hours immensely. While using it, just be sure you are making sure they are 100% dry (even from the wipes) before applying since it is also a barrier cream. Between this and calmoseptine, we have not had any recurrences of diaper rash. Hubby recently had prostate surgery and is now dealing with temporary incontinence post op. He's wearing Depends underwear and the nurse suggested wiping down with adult wipes between changes to keep the area clean, and using a cream such as this to keep the area dry. Tho this paste is marketed as use for babies, it works perfectly for adults as well. It's thick, yet easy to spread and isn't sticky, goey or uncomfortable. A friend's mom was just released from the hospital, is not very mobile and is wearing Depends. He purchased this for her and her caregiver commented to him how insightful that was.
