This is a really nice and durable fish finder mount. I have found that it's pretty versatile and works for most smaller water crafts. It was easy to install and fells like it is stable and sturdy. It's not bulky or extremely top heavy. I feel it's pretty light weight and fold up to be compact and easy for storing. This is a very good rig for using your depth/fish finder electronics on your kayak, small boat or two man bass boat. This thing works great because I’m able to use my electronics on various small boats without having to install permanently on any of them. It’s easy to use and keeps the whole rig on one unit. It has mounting for the screen and a mounting point for the transducer keeping it untangled and ready to go. It can be folded up for easy carry and stored most anywhere. It’s lightweight and holds everything nice and stable with no worries of it falling overboard.

I don't know how to use a fish finder. I ordered this mount because I received one for my birthday, and I need to learn to use it with my canoe. The mounting bracket is small enough to mount on my canoe. Be sure and check yours before mounting. The sliding mounting bracket is about 1 7/8 inches wide. The bracket length is longer, but you need around 5" of a sideboard to get all the screws in. The mount can be used on the left or right side of the boat. The mounting screws are included but I'm not crazy about the directions (or lack of). It reads more like a dimensional brochure than instructions. Mounted fish finders are top-heavy. This one doesn't appear to sit too high and screws up tight. I haven't taken it on the water yet, but I don't think that will affect it. My fish finder fits, and this will suit my purpose. 4 Stars.
