My dad likes to keep a stack of wood ready for the stove, and this splitter bit has made that part of his routine go more smoothly. Once we fitted the right adapter to his drill, it held in place the whole time without loosening. He found that starting near the edge helped it bite into the wood quickly, and the threads pulled through without much effort. I am very impressed with this log splitting tool. It comes with 3 different interchangeable shanks to fit a variety of drills. It is simple to use and very compact. It works best nearer the edge of the log and provides a clean split quickly. I’m able to split so much more wood at a time with this versus a typical axe because I’m not having to use all of my energy swinging. It is very heavy and does a lot of the work for me.
