This was pretty easy to install. I had to dill a hole into my cabinet for the plug and put in 4 screws to hold it up. My cabinets are old and not a standard size so it didn't fit exactly right, but ended up working with some tweaking. It seems to work well as a ductless vent.. only concern is that the metal is very light weight so don't know if it will hold up over time and they built it with the protective plastic on so it's impossible to remove some of the bits stuck in screws or joints. I would have liked a few more mounting hole position to pick from as the front ones were a bit too far forward. But injury rigged a solution that will be fine given how light weight this is. Sheet metal is a bit thinner than I would have picked in person but overall very good value for the money. I expect they lose money on the hood and make money on the charcoal filters if you buy those. The old razor blade model. :-). ... show more

This exhausted hood has a sleek design, nice LED lights and low noise fan. But the explanation says that it is 30 inches and it is actually only 29 inches and left a gap on each side that had to be filled. Too much hassle and would not recommend because of that.

Despite the instructions you cannot mount it flush to a wall. The power cord is stupidly placed so that you can not mount it flush to the wall or to the bottom of the cabinet. Maybe some kitchens have a plug inside an upper cabinet for a vent hood, but my old one was hard wired. I can't tell how well it works as I have given up trying to find a way to install it, and am returning it. It looks good. It was value priced but worthless to me. Probably a great deal for a new kitchen where you can design your kitchen around this vent hood. ... show more
