This insert looks good, feels durable, and seems very functional. Noise/power ratio is great, quiet on low power but you can tell it's moving air on medium and high. Grates seems well built and easy to clean. My one complaint is the three screws attaching the bottom, visible faceplate to the main housing at the back, against the backsplash wall. You have to remove the faceplate to install the main housing, but re-attaching the faceplate is difficult. On a big range hood cabinet it's not a problem, but if your hood insert is going within a couple inches of the wall this insert as designed may not work for you. It should have clips or hinges in the back, or screws into the face of the faceplate along the backsplash wall side instead of the inaccessible side of the faceplate.

The quality seemed really good but there was a little condensation on the vent and it caused the vent to erode with less than a week of use. These vents were said to be dishwasher friendly but I don’t see how when they didn’t hold up to the condensation 🤷🏼♀️

This is really a nice built in range hood with led lights. Sits nice and flush no more ugly hood vent from the 90s that was so loud and had to give it a kick start for it to turn on the fan. Install was pretty easy just had to cut a little for it to fit properly. It came packaged really well and protected. The light is very bright and fan sucks up pretty much anything that comes its way without needing ear protection. I used the ducted exhaust option since the other one was already setup for that. It is very quiet when running. The filters are dishwasher safe which makes cleaning them a breeze. The push button controls work very well. The stainless steel design looks great. A little difficult to install, but with the help of a crafty friend I was able to install this into my open kitchen floor plan, works great and doesn't look bad considering how bulky it is. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a medium to large kitchen who wants something sturdy that will last them for years to come. I have worked in kitchen's with similar vents and this one seems to work as good!

Great hood but will need something to conceal it. Easy enough to work with but it's not a complete extract solution on it's own. Embed into the base of a cabinet or into a decorative shroud and you will love it.
