So it turns out - sometimes bigger isn't better. I got this for our kitchen remodel. So excited because wow - check out those CFMS! We do a lot of greasy cooking so I was stoked for the house to not smell. Well it turns out - for whatever reason, we had to get a range hood under 400 CFM otherwise the contractor said it would suck too much oxygen [or maybe air?] out of the HVAC system. So this device would more than DOUBLE that cut off. So sadly, I will have to figure out another use for this one. Make sure you check BEFORE you buy if there are limits like this because i had no clue. Having said that, I will say that upon my inspection of this it felt really nice.     • upgrading the kitchen range hood
I have been wanting to upgrade my range hood for a while now and this stainless steel 30 hood is much better than my older one. I really like the bright led lights that help me see my cooking much more clearly. the fans are powerful and keep the grease and orders in check.

This hood unit has a really nicely design. The baffled filters are designed more like the commercial units. I love the fact that they can come out and go directly into the dishwasher. That makes it easy to keep clean when done regularly. The lights are pretty bright, and I like that they are up front, and the fans are in the back. That draws the grease to the filters and away from the lights. I do think that it is important to note that the 430 grade of stainless steel can eventually develop rust on it. You will want to stay on top of that to avoid rust issues in the future. The description does say it’s made from 430 grade stainless steel, but I wanted to point that out for anyone who isn’t familiar with it. I give them kudos for being up front about what kind of stainless they use, so you can take care of it. Overall, I think it looks nice and I am happy with it. ... show more

This is a fantastic hood! As someone who does a lot of Asian cooking, dealing with grease is a significant challenge in the kitchen. This range hood is industrial style stainless steel. It has good suction and airflow. The grate design makes it easier to clean than screen traps. 30inch is pretty standard and fits as it should but every home is different. everything works as it should.

I had an old white range hood that was in our house when we bought it back in 1998. It was rusted. We had upgraded all our appliances to stainless, so this fit in nicely in our kitchen. Installing it was pretty straight forward for my electrician husband. I love the look of it, and the filters can go in the dishwasher as needed. Love it! ... show more

This range hood was moderately easy to install, I say this because it is quite heavy and probably need another person including yourself to help you install. Very easy to set up once it's nice and screwed in, buttons work great, all the settings work amazingly, I think this is the brand I will be going with for myself and family ... show more
