Configuration: Fire TV Stick
The form factors of the remote make navigation quick and clean. The voice control is handy in rewind and moving large steps or hunting. I have several versions from the earlies to the latest and they have been extremely reliable. Restarts solve problems that crop up from time to time making easy fix simply by unplugging the power source or using the menu if you can get there. I do need to use the TV's dedicated remote for some dedicated controls. But I have not asked Alexa to do things like changing inputs. I personally do not use the dedicated start buttons for apps like Peacock or Netflix etc. Lastly. the services the Fire TV Stick a adds to the overall depth of available apps and resources is very much worth the price of admission.

Configuration: Fire TV Stick
This was a replacement for a fire stick I had about 5 years. I have 6 televisions so I often am replacing a fire stick about once a year. They are always improving. So, I put the new fire stick on my largest TV that I use the most and move the old fire stick from there to an extra television such as in a spare bedroom, the kitchen, my sewing room, etc. They do not last forever. I got rid of my cable and just have internet because the cost of cable in my area is ridiculous. With the fire sticks I get more than I ever did with cable. Plus I can have as many televisions as I want in various areas ready to use as needed. All you need is an electric outlet and you have a working TV within a couple minutes. You can set the TV up anywhere, even porches, patios, work benches in garages, craft areas, spare rooms. No messy wires to deal with behind the television. With cable I was charged extra for each television so I had to move TVs to spare rooms, if the room had a cable connection, as needed when I had company. For the cost of replacement for these , they are well worth the price. I doubt I will ever go back to cable unless there are a lot of changes in the set up convenience. There is a learning curve. Once you do it once, it is a breeze to set up a new unit.

Configuration: Fire TV Stick
The Amazon prime, Freevee and other free tv apps dont have TBN, Daystar or other faith based channels/apps. Just plug the Fire Stick into an HDMI port. Select that port as an input, and after a brief, easy set up, ask alexa to find any tv channel or app and down load and run it. The next time you open the Fire Stick, the home screen will show your recently viewed programs. Free and easy all for the one time price of the Fire Stick.
