These worked really well on my last campout. I used them in the fire with no tinder or kindling and just logs. With 3 of these, they were quick to light and stayed lit long enough to catch the larger logs on fire. I also put two in the bottom of my chimney to get my charcoal going for my dutch oven. I didn't have to use paper or lighter fluid so it made no mess.

These sticks are the ideal tool to have when camping or doing BBQ. They're quick to ignite, safer than fuel, and you get plenty in this pack. Overall a great value for an essential product.

Many things to like about this fire starter. It is apparently natural which is always a plus for me especially when burning things, it is waterproof due to its wax coating and it burns easily. I like that it comes in a box of 60 and even has a plastic ziplock bag that it comes it so the crumbs/pieces don't spill out. Overall I like it, but there were two things I noticed which is why I removed a star. It advertises 10 minutes of burn time... now that's a bold claim for a firestarter. When I used mine, it did not last 10 minutes. Maybe closer to 5, which is decent and might work well for chimney coal starters. Next thing was, there is some sort of smell while burning. I think it may be from the natural wax coating? I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it's not pungent or anything but I did notice a smell, not the natural wood burning type of smell.

When camping, these have been very helpful when starting a campfire. Very easy to use, lights really easily, and catches the kindling really well. They are small starter logs so they are very portable, can grab a couple and throw them in a bag. Very easy to use, and would definitely recommend for any fireplace, camping, hiking etc.

This is a great fire starter for a charcoal chimney. I dint think this starter last long enough for an open fire pit. I think you are better off using a compressed/composite material when trying to start a wood fire. But starting charcoal does not take as much time and these starters work well for that purpose. GREAT FIND.

These Firestarter do work and the burn fairly long but took a few lights to get it fully going. I'll continue to use them but I expected more based on other firestarters.
