This cover is significantly cheaper than the one from Solo Stove and it performs and looks great. The metal bent and dipped in at first contact with the fire but then straightened and leveled itself out. The coating comes off when in contact with the fire but that’s to be expected.

Whenever I'm camping in a remote location or where there won't be a USFS / Campground provided fire pit, I always bring my Solo Stove Bonfire. It's perfect for our deer camp as it keeps the smoke to a minimum, we don't need to worry about building a rock fire ring, and we don't leave a giant mess behind when we're done. This will take the utility of that solo stove up a couple notches. Sometimes when we camp in the early fall, there is still substantial fire risk, so the spark arrestor will put our minds at ease. Additionally, we often have to bring a small BBQ with us to grill steaks or anything else that isn't warmed up in a pan or pot. With the grill insert, we'll be able to leave that behind and cook over wood coals before we really get the fire going. This set all fits on the Bonfire well. The conical portion of the spark arrestor drops right onto the ring along the top of the stove. The center spark arrestor and cooking grate both drop right into the hole in the top of the conical part. The two handles provided are a little wonky, but I found you only need to use one on either the spark arrestor insert or the grate. I wasn't grilling anything for dinner tonight, so I couldn't try it out entirely, but I have used other grill grates over this stove with some success, and this looks like it should work much better. My two things I wish I could do with this are really only "wishes" because I can't see how they could be done - so no stars taken. First, I would love to be able to nest all of this into my solo stove bag, but it doesn't seem to fit like I will do that well - it makes sense that something round, designed to sit on top, will not sit down inside, even if you turn it over. I may consider cutting off the two loops / handles on the conical part to see how well it would drop into the solo stove inverted, but I'm not sure that will be enough. As long as I can get everything into one bag, I'll be happy - even if the bag now looks a little misshapen on my roofrack. Second, I wish there was an easier way to add wood to the fire while cooking. Ideally you cook over coals and not "wood", but in my experience the solo stove burns so efficiently you can't keep the right level of coals in the bottom for long. Now, with the provided handles, I can see how I'll be able to pick up the grate with one hand and add wood with the other. However, I think this might end up being a two person job so that you don't need to set the grate down or risk tilting an off balance grate and having food fall off. I'm very please with this, and I can imagine a friend or two being impressed enough that they'll go out and buy one of their own. That's what happened the first time most of them saw my solo stove in action for the first time. This is a very nice solid bundle of accessories for the solo stove bonfire that feel sturdy, solid, fits nicely overall and provides more accessories for just over half the price (~$79 at time of review) of the official shield for the Bonfire provided by Solo Stove (~$136 typically on sale, $160 when not). I would never grill on my solo stove personally, so cannot speak to the usefulness of that component but the others are all solid, seem good quality and fit nicely on the Bonfire. The only difference and why I took off one star, is the original can easily nest in the solostove when not in use so everything is packed up compactly and nice, so that the lid can be put on easily and everything stores inside the stove itself. I value this feature greatly, but it will not be worth the price difference for most I suspect. I would hope the are able to adjust their design to allow future versions of this set to next easily inside the Solo Stove, as it stands the handles stick out too far to allow this. Does not seem like a difficult challenge so hope they consider this for future versions. Overall this is a quality set, solid and I suspect will last a good amount of time. It offers some flexibility for those that also want to grill on their unit. The removable handles are useful and simple enough, though nothing fancy or a highlight they do the trick. Given the cost of solo Stove accessories overall I suspect most will be happy with this purchase in terms of value for money as long as they are aware storage will not be as slick since this cannot nest into the bonfire itself so you can put the bonfire lid (if you have it) on.

We live in a dry and wind-prone area, and having an open fire can become hazardous quickly. I had searched for a spark protector for my generic 15-inch fire pit for a while and the Barbqtime spark protector was a great option. I wanted one with narrower mesh, that was tapered so I could still use my lid and it also came with a grate and mesh top. The spark protector is well-made, and I didn’t see any welding flaws or issues with the coating. The mesh diameter is narrow enough to hold back smaller embers that otherwise could escape on the sides and the top. Other spark protectors did not come with the top mesh which is probably my favorite feature of the Barbqtime spark protector. The grill grate has a load capacity of 60 lbs, which I would probably never remotely need since I am not sure my firepit would be able to hold that much weight. However, it will be nice to do some light BBQing while enjoying an open fire.

I love my solo stoves. I have multiples. I really liked how this kit came with a grate that attaches to the spark screen to be able to bbq. The quality is excellent. You definitely get quality with this. I used this on the bonfire and it worked grate! (See what I did there?!) I'd definitely suggest this kit if you're a solo stove owner. The price speaks for itself. I am definitely interested in trying other aftermarket accessories like this foe my solo stove.

The stainless steel construction feels sturdy and durable, and the spark screen mesh effectively blocks embers from escaping. It's also nice to have the option to switch between the screen and the grate for grilling. The grate itself is a good size for cooking for a small group. The only downside I found is the need for a carrying bag. The screen and grate are awkward to store, and it would be much more convenient to have a dedicated bag to keep them clean and contained. This well-made and versatile accessory is perfect for Solo Stove owners.
