I went through a BUNCH of cases online... and I'm happy I chose this one! I specifically did NOT want Amazon's cases - they look very flimsy, are super-expensive, have Amazon branding on it, and the pen doesn't look secure. Plus, it appears to offer little-to-no protection when you throw it in your bag. If you're a sucker for brand-name, and you love to burn cash, go with Amazon's case. (Amazon's cases for the other Kindles are good; the Scribe case is a train wreck.) This case is perfect. It's a bit bulky, which I love. You can throw it around in your bag. LOVE the stand. Online, it looked like the ribbon keeping the stand together was elastic, and I was worried about it stretching out and potentially having the Kindle fall over. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to see it's RIBBON. Tough ribbon that won't stretch out. Love that you can turn it both ways - horizontal and vertical. Amazon's cases don't have a horizontal option. There are a bunch of thoughtful details here that make it worth it: 1. There is an elastic to help keep the cover closed. This is particularly useful, because when you open it and fold it over, the Kindle doesn't flop around. You can pull over the elastic to secure the Kindle, even when it's open. 2. There are credit card slots in the stands. 3. And my favorite feature! On the cover, there is a pocket... which stays shut with a MAGNET. Brilliantly designed - you can keep your papers there without the fear that they'll slip out. 4. The grip is great - it's textured so it's not slippery. While it's not specified, if a bit of water spills on top - it's non-absorbent. You can mop it up with a towel. 5. No weird extra features - everything is useful here. Overall? After a TON of research... This is the best, most useful cover to protect your Kindle. ... show more

Iike this cover. Nicely made. I wish the stand had two levels, one for viewing and one for writing. It is a little heavy, but it will certainly provide max protection. Not sure why anyone would want to keep credit cards in a kindle cover, I haven't tried business cards yet. I also like the outside doc holder. It should be useful. ... show more

Love the library design, but the case is adding considerable weight to the already heavy Scribe itself, so if you plan on holding it, you won't be able to for long. It stands on the flap just fine and fits the newest scribe ok. Easy to use, you just snap Kindle in and you're ready to go.

Bought for my Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. This is the second Fintie case I've purchased - the first was for my Kindle Scribe 1st gen. When I upgraded my device, I gave the other Kindle to my wife. She loves the case and even bought another Fintie case for her Kindle Fire. This is a good quality case that feels substantial in your hand, protects the device well, and closing the cover reliably puts the Kindles to sleep. It definitely adds a good amount of bulk. I wanted this case because it looked sturdy, high quality, and had the two stands for support. Unfortunately, the magnets do affect your writing, so I always have to have it completely open, instead of being able to use the stands.
