This case works great for my new Kindle Paperwhite. It's slightly thicker than the case I had for my previous Paperwhite, without being obtrusive. It protects the Kindle well, and the device fits perfectly. It has a magnetic closure that also holds the front flap in place when the case is open to read. The finger strap on the back is very convenient - this is the first Kindle case I've had that includes that feature. When using the kickstand, the device seems to be at a very slight angle. Most users probably won't notice it. I knew the cover was a faux leather, so I was concerned about the quality. I was very pleasantly surprised. This was the most cozy looking case I could find , I wish there was a vintage book looking one with a kickstand but I settled for this,. the kickstand works good in bed and is stable on the mattress. Also the handle isn't that bad someone said it was awkward but I have man sized hands and have no issues . The magnets work good it stays nice and tight ... show more

    • The perfect cover for me and my Kindle ColorSoft (2025 edition).

I struggled to find just the right cover for my Kindle Colorsoft (2025 edition.) I ordered this cover first, and while it was on the way, I started worrying about it being too heavy, or too thick, or having the hand strap on the left side instead of the right side. So I left this case unopened and waited for the replacement. When it finally arrived, I hated it, even more so because the description did not match the actual product. The extremely thin and sharp front cover had no magnet, and, when folded back for reading, it was misaligned so that it dug into my hand almost to the point of slicing it. I returned that horrid cover, and finally tried this one. Here's my user report: First, I am in my 70s, and am happy to say that this cover is absolutely not too heavy for me. I feel like the kindle and cover together weigh about the same as a paperback book. Second, it is quite a bit thicker than the cover I am returning. Maybe about 50% thicker. While that thickness might be a very slight disadvantage when stuffing my kindle into my bag, it is (to me) a major advantage in terms of comfort when holding it. It lays in my hand like a book. Third, the hand strap is on the left side, rather than the right. Holding the device in my left hand, and using the strap feels comfortable. To go to the next page, I have to swipe with my thumb. To go back a page, I can tap with my thumb. Not a problem. AND if I need to take notes on what I'm reading, I'm all set--I don't even have to put the Kindle down. I flipped the device upside down and tried using the strap on my right hand, and found it was awkward to hold the device in my right hand. Turns out I almost always hold a printed book with my left hand, and a pen in my right. Fourth, the kickstand seems very handy. I haven't used it much in the few days I've been using the case, but I'm glad I have it. Ditto the card slot. Fifth, the brown, leather-like cover is attractive, and well made. Everything lines up nicely. Both the magnet that puts the device to sleep, and the magnet that holds the open cover in place when reading are strong enough and placed to do their jobs well. The leather-like material feels nice. Some might think it a little slippery, but I like it. I don't think it will soil easily, like a fabric cover might. Sitting on my desk, this cover makes my Kindle look like a journal or an address book. I suppose it's going to far to call it an anti-theft deterrent... ... show more

I love it!!!!! I had one with my last kindle and love it.! Positive. I don’t lose my kindle any more because this cover gives it just enough bulk to stop the kindle from slipping between surfaces when I put it down on a chair etc. I love the stand for reading on a table. The elastic band is great ti hold while walking etc. good quality. My old one is still good. It just doesn’t fit my new paper white Only possible negative: It takes up more space in your bag. It must be removed when using the wireless charger only. I prefer it because of its practicality. I just wish Amazon would make one with room for a devise finder that you can link to your phone. ... show more

Very nice case for my new kindle. Classy looking cover, seems durable--feels good in the hand. Was not sure why I would need a 'card holder' on a kindle case, but it turns out that it's perfect for sliding a Chipolo locator card into. Nothing I hate more than trying to remember where I set my 'book' down last, and this is now a solved problem. Was confused about the elastic strap next to the card holder until I came back and looked at the Amazon product page and realized that it's a hand strap for holding the tablet! Well made, very attractive. It is bulkier, heavier, and thicker to hold than the basic kindle covers without the kickstand and hand loop, hence the minus-star. The hand holder loop is left sided so you can swipe pages with your right hand, but it’s stiff and awkward to slip on and uncomfortable to use. It might be more easy to use for those with longer hands than mine. Also, the cover has to be pried open with both hands. This item is a good choice if you need a kickstand for hands free reading on a tabletop. It does tend to topple if it gets nudged while standing. It would be more stable if the angle of the kickstand were wider. But it’s still usable for that function. I’m keeping this cover for hands free tabletop use, but also buying a classic slim Kindle brand cover for hand held use because it’s lighter weight with more ease of holding, easier to open and close the cover, and because it fits in a smaller slip pocket in my purse. I still recommend this heavy but handsome cover, for those who want a built in kickstand. ... show more

For ~$13 I wasn't expecting much tbh. I liked that it looked like a leather book but wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it is. The etching in the leather is nice and clear, not shallow or printed, the hand strap is tight so yo don't get a lot of slop trying to hold it, and the added stand is a bonus. I realize that the leather isn't real, but I can honestly say I had to double check because it actually smells like real leather! It also fits the kindle nicely, so there's not sliding around. The seams are all well sewn, I mean for $13, this is much higher quality that I could have expected. If you didn't already realize, a folio case is going to make your kindle bigger and bulkier, but I would say this one is as trimmed down as you could possibly want. Anything less would defeat the purpose of having a case. I do like the case and color but know that it's that smooth leather so if you were just sitting it on your lap while in a car or something and not holding it, it would slide right off as soon as there was any movement. I would say anyone wanting a leather book case can't go wrong with this. Also not being actual leather, it's lighter than a real leather case would be.
