Although this bidet may function according to the web description, there are several issues causing me not to recommend this to anyone - period. Installation was performed by professional plumbers. Because of the weight, two people were required. If I didn't have to spend an other $350 plus shipping hassle to have an other bidet installed, this toilet would be returned to the manufacturer. My previous Alpha bidet seat worked perfectly, it just wasn't a good find on my Kohler toilet bowl. Here are some of the shortcomings: 1. The automatic seat opener does not have a sensitivity adjustment. It opens unintentionally when passing by to get into the shower or using the towel rack. I had to place a matte plastic cup on top to prevent unwarranted opening. However, auto open/close can be disabled. 2. The manual controls on both sides of the bidet cannot easily be read or felt so you have to look at the instruction manual to use these. The power and flush buttons should have been placed on top of the bidet on the bar next to then power/energy saving indicator. The others should have protruding buttons - kind of like braille. 3. The manual full and half flush are likewise hard to see and/or get to. 4. The LED display on remote control is using yesteryears technology. Texts are to small and when illuminated it is still illegible without readers (I have 20/20 vision). 5. Only a full flush is offered on the remote. Have to use manual control for half flush. 6. Although there is amble time to preheat the water in the cleaning nozzle, the first two second is cold water before the warm water kicks in. 7. The toilet auto flushes too soon (3.5s) after you leave the seat. If you don't want to use the warm air but prefer a piece of toilet paper, you don't have time to throw the toilet paper in before the flush. For medical reasons, some people may also want to glance at it for a few seconds before waving it good bye. Only other option is to turn it off. 8. You cannot set the auto function to different time intervals. Presets are 90s cleaning and 180s drying. That is 4 1/2 minutes of your life you will never get back each time you are you are done. 9. The energy saver does not have a clock so you do not know what the current status is. The user manual is totally useless on this issue. 10. Likewise, the remote does not offer confirmation for programing of other operations such as Night light, Quiet mode, User code, Auto flush, Auto open/close, etc. You can not see what state it is set to. ... show more

There only three things I don't like, besides that, It's great. 1. The cover and seat don't lift together, only the cover does with sensor. You can raise both with remote. 2. Seat is smaller than normal so for a guy you'll need to tuck before sitting down 3. The cover lifts automatically if you get to close to the side. The way my bathroom is set up my vanity is about 18" from toilet and the sensor picks up on it. I haven't figured a way to walk by without it opening.
