This is far and away the best price I've seen for a telescoping ladder. I really didn't want to spend a lot on something I don't use often. And I'm mostly happy with my purchase. GOOD:. This was the only cheap telescoping ladder tall enough for my needs. I have an unusually tall garage with a flat roof, and most ladders aren't tall enough. Extension and retraction are easy. (Just mind those fingers.) This ladder also stores well. BAD: This is not a sturdy ladder and I urge caution to any who use it. The bottom rubber caps are somewhat good at preventing skid. But the ladder itself has a lot of wobble. To go above 6 feet you either need a spotter or a way to steady the ladder. I wedge mine on the bottom and strap it to a nearby fence. ... show more

I have seen the bad reviews based on quality. I disagree as a contractor’s son. I am 220 lbs and used the ladder to access and clean a two story high dryer vent. I tried to wiggle it around at the top but couldn’t. When I climbed it, it did wiggle inward on the way up but nothing disconcerting for an aluminum ladder with so many joints. I own a Little Giant but this ladder’s base found more stable grounding doing the same job. The huge advantage is the ladder is only 25 to 30 lbs and much smaller when collapsed. If you simply need to access a higher space within the height limit, this is a great ladder. If you want to carry 40 lbs on your back while roofing a home and weighing as much as me, I doubt it will work for you, try a Little Giant. Apparently, Amazon wants me to say sturdiness, storage capacity, and maneuverability so fellow customers can find this. Hopefully this is helpful.
