  • This is a great sneaker for walking
Size: 12 Color: Black/Black/Black
I walk a lot for exercise. When I bought my first pair of these sneakers I was covering between four and five miles some days (broken up over the day) and never less than two miles a day. I'd started walking about a year ago after being too sedentary and packing on 25 pounds during the pandemic. I'm in my 60's but had always been physically fit prior to that so it was a real wakeup call. I started looking for a good walking shoe, the running shoes I wear for daily use didn't stand up well to a lot of miles at once. I just happened to try on a pair of these and they felt good so I gave them a shot. Since them I've worn out one pair walking and immediately bought another pair. They're touted as a "work" sneaker and have a non-slip bottom so they are a bit heavier than some sneakers but that translates to a lot of support and them standing up well to heavy use. They're comfortable and a joy to walk in. Note; I did get a pair a half size larger than I usually wear because they seemed to be sized a bit small. I also usually get wide width sneakers but didn't need to here, possibly because of the 1/2 size bump. They offer great support and offer a solid platform to walk on all terrain; I walk on forested trails, dirt paths, paved streets and sidewalks, they're great for all of them. And it took a lot of miles to wear out my first pair. I Highly recommend them if you're looking for a solid walking sneaker. ... show more

  • Good For The Value - no "Memory" fits slightly small and you will need inserts
Size: 13 Color: Black/Black/Black
I ordered the first pair at size 13 and they were slightly small with uncomfortable space in the toes that you could not walk in. Returned and ordered a size 14 and they are comfortable. Overall I have spent over 12 hours in them so far, with my own purchased inserts, and they seem to do well. Stiff in the sole, minimal arch support, and second hand materials on the outside, but for a good price for my needs. As to the "memory" description - I do not think they remember what that means. The inserts are just thin, cheap, and cosmetic for show because the "memory" foam is airy with no firmness and at most 1/8th of an inch in thickness. So, I encourage you to buy good inserts. For my personal fit, the area around the ankle was large so I used a "runners" lace lacing to make it snug for myself, but those with wider ankles may find it comfortable. ... show more

  • Okay shoe, not good for unpaved areas
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Black/Black
I had a pair of these a few years ago, and this pair is not quite as comfortable in support, but is not bad. Unfortunately, if you walk anywhere that has sand, little pebbles or leaf litter, the tracks on the bottom will pick it up and get stuck in the tread. It will then track into your house and make a mess, or possibly scratch the floor. PS, They do make squeaky noises if wet since they are non-slip! ... show more

  • Best shoes
Size: 11.5 Color: Black/Black/Black
I loved working with these shoes. I would go home without back pain. Unfortunately, I was forced to go back to steel toe boots with my new job and the $$275 steel toe has my foot and back in excruciating pain at the end of the day.

  • Don’t spare expense for your feet!
Size: 7 Color: Black/Black/Black
I’m a UPS driver and I’ve burned through countless pairs of all black New Balance sneakers. In 2022, I had the seemingly bright idea to save a little moola by trying “something new” AKA “something cheaper”. This was a mistake. I didn’t think logically about the situation that I rely on my feet literally to do my job. I rely on my equipment, aka sneakers, to convey me through all manner of situations and most of the time I’m going rapidly and hauling a two-wheeler. I need comfort, and I need confidence in my footwear. Top reasons I hated these: Fit: the toe box is very wide. I am a 8.5/9 W or a 7/7.5 M. New Balance has always snuggled my toes comfortably and provided lateral support as I drag my feet over surfaces and do many shifts of my weight to leverage insanely proportioned and sometimes heavy (150 lbs) parcels. The back of the package cars are made of steel diamond plate. I wear out the actual sneaker treads after several months (6-8 months if worn 5 to 6x a week) in every NB sneaker however foot support in the shoe remains solid. These cheap sneakers let my toes run rampant and sometimes shift forward and crush the tips of my toes against the shoe itself. It was only a 3/5 rating maximum but this didn’t exactly influence me to do anything about it. Non-slip Treads: Without a doubt, in my 15 years of pounding the pavement as a driver, these are the worst patterned treads I’ve ever worn. For instance, you are safe on dry roads. The first inclement weather showed me that these are not dynamic to changing conditions. They are hazardous in cold weather when rain turned to sleet. Just an inch of snow dusting caused it to enter and stick into the rubber treads. It was so bad it would make a snowball between the shoe and the road surface. I had to complete a delivery and drag my feet on the street to shave off the extra snow I was carrying. Leather ought to provide some wetness protection unless you’re unfortunate enough to submerge a foot in a puddle but these got wet without that puddle as if I had! (Also: be prepared to get dirt and feces hopelessly stuck in them too. 🥲) You are effectively catapulted into anxiety the first time you touch a Polywood (resin or plastic composite ‘wood’) stair and when you look for your foot to hold its weight and alternately propel itself up to follow its mate climbing steps you will instead get the sensation you are ice skating. I had to give myself a ridiculous amount of time per stop in order to just remain safe. The construction: Are these leather uppers? Every NB sneaker I’ve had can look presentable even after rainstorms, daily exhaustive wear, exposure to road salt. I never wore these more than twice in the inclement weather. The seams of this sneaker turned bright white. I don’t know if it’s road salt or alternate equally as foul reasons but this seemingly brand new pair looked like I stole them from a homeless person before I even rounded out the two week mark. Long story short, I paid $43 to ‘save money’ and try something new and I was extremely displeased by these. After seeing how they perform in very typical New England weather scenarios, I threw them away! They had dried dog crap, and dirt stuck up in the tread soles and long white lines of salt or de-constructing adhesive marring the top side. I actually put on my old NB sneakers and waited for a new pair to arrive. Conclusion: these might be OK for you to work inside. These might be OK to work out inside of a gym. These will not be OK for you in anything resembling the work that I do as a UPS driver. Do not short change your feet to quell your budgetary concerns like me because you very well may be sneering at these and their crap infused treads as you throw them away in disgust less than a month later because your experience has gone this badly. ... show more

I wear this model as my after work shoe. for many years. It's just as expected. Very comfortable and I get about 1 to 11/2 years every time.

  • Ok for the price
Size: 8 Color: Black/Black/Black
They are resistant and anti slip. Only thing the memory foam sole is not very cushioned. Heels are a bit sore at the end of the day

  • Cushioned shoes with anti-slip soles for indoors.
Size: 11 X-Wide Color: Black/Black/Black
These were the first FILA shoes I've tried. They are priced lower than most other brands. They are very comfy, with memory foam insoles and all around cushy feel. They are aimed at indoor workers, especially food prep folks, and emphasize their non-slip soles. The sole pattern is finely divided and may tend to track in mud if used outdoors. They aren't designed for trail walking. They look and feel good, so I'm happy with them. They are a little looser on the toe end than I expected, and I have pretty wide size 11 feet. These were the third pair of shoes I tried under the Prime Try before you buy feature, which includes free return shipping if you don't want to keep them. FILA won me over from New Balance, which I've worn for 10 years or more. ... show more
