This microphone is compact, elegant and provides professional grade performance - it is that good. Physical Construction: - All metal construction - very sturdy and solid build. - The 5" triangular metal base is very sturdy and has rubber pads underneath giving it a steady and slip resistant perch - this mic is solid. - There is a green LED on the front fact of the mic when the microphone is active. - Push the mute button and the green LED turns red to indicate the microphone is off. - The mute button operates silently but in the recording track, there is a muffled thump when the mute is activated but is not significant. - USB Cable - solid and well made. - The tilt of the mic may be adjusted by loosening the two knobs on the side of the body. The mic body still has a bit of play even when the knobs are fully tightened. Not a deal breaker but it could have had a better tighten and hold feature. Audio Performance and Frequency Response: - The FiFine mic was tested for voice recordings only and no musical instruments were used. - This microphone has only a cardiod pattern for pickup and it does exceptionally well. - The sound play back is clear, crisp without distortion and artifacts. - The microphone gain sensitivity can be set to drop the noise floor to achieve crystal clarity in your audio. - I used Audacity to record and play back recordings. A very useful tool to set the microphone gain for maximum clarity without being over driven. - With the mic tilted back facing my mouth straight on and the mic gain set at 25%, speaking at a distance of 6", the audio was clear without being over driven. This is monitored in real time by bar graphs and actual voice pattern plots. - Background noise rejection - Excellent! This was tested using a Bluetooth speaker placed 18" away at 10 o'clock position to one side of the mic and the volume set at pretty high (Using normal speaking voice level, a person sitting on the opposite side of the table would not be able to hear my voice as the speaker volume was set that high). As recorded on Audacity, the FiFine mic captured my voice clearly while rejecting 90% of the background music. The background music was heard faintly and did not compete at all with my voice spoken at a normal level. Impressive! Intended Microphone Application: - VoIP phone calls. - No feedback issues in using computer speakers 16" behind the microphone without using a headphone. Slight Negative Feature: - On the back of the microphone are the mic gain and headphone audio level adjustment knobs. These two knobs are the size of a pencil eraser and protrudes about the same dimension. The drawback is these knobs are smooth and have no knurling and this makes adjustments difficult. There is a indicating line on the face of these knobs to indicate position but it is rather difficult to see without a contrasting colored line. Fortunately, once these levels are set, you shouldn't have to mess with them very much and it is nice they are out of the way on the back side of the microphone. Final thoughts: This is one exceptional microphone for the price. Yes, there are features that are not available compared to the Samson G Track Pro but unless you really need those features, buy the FiFine mic as you will not give up any audio qualities. I have compared this directly with the Samson G Track Pro and it is very difficult to tell the G Track Pro is that much better from audio recordings made on Audacity. For those that want a great microphone that don't require an omni direction nor a figure 8 pattern, this is the microphone to get. The noise rejection test I did proved how exceptional this microphone really is.

I previously bought a cheaper microphone and it would have been quite adequate except that it failed after 1/2 an hour when it stopped listening. I searched for a replacement and came along this model. This model looked like it was good in the product listing, but in real life it is 100 times better. It has a heavy feel to it It looks nice with a great build quality. Also with it sitting on my desk and me sitting in my chair I could speak normally and the text is 100 percent accurate I highly recommend this microphone.

I was having complaints while video conferencing that my sound wasn't always clear and understandable. To be fair, my computer is perched on the corner of my desk, so that I have plenty of desk work area. The computer mic was not designed for clear sound from over 3 ft away (when I'm sitting back in my chair during video conferencing.) This mic is indeed plug and play. Although you may need to (read the tiny instructions) to go into your computer's sound settings and specify 'USE DEVICE SPEAKERS' when you are using this microphone - as the mic defaults, out of the box, to the 'audio out' port on the bottom of the mic, for use with headphones. Set this preference one time, and you should be done with that forever. (Might also have to do it once inside of the ZOOM program, however.) The mic will pick up your voice as soon as you plug it in and begin to use it, and your laptop speakers will continue to be active. The SOUND is forever SOLID AND CLEAR with this microphone... no matter where I place the mic. It isn't omnidirectional, but honestly, if I place it anywhere reasonably in front of me, it doesn't matter that it isn't eight inches in front of me, it always picks up great sound. It gives me confidence when participating in the program. This is mic built solidly, sounds awesome, has high end features like mic gain (USE IT! IT'LL get your mic sound just right for your environment!) That MUTE button... works perfectly, and once glance at the mic will tell you if it is muted (red light) or active (green light) BUT it DOES NOT TOGGLE THE ZOOM MIC ICON... which means that the moderator thinks I'm unmuted on Zoom, even when the microphone is actually muted... Effectively, it is a double mute/unmute switch in ZOOM. I dearly wish that there would be an update that would coordinate the mics mute switch with Zoom's in program mute/unmute icon. However - I'm completely happy with my choice of this microphone!

This is a really great microphone and I have been using it for my podcast for months. It has great sound, easy to use, and looks professional. The packaging is lovely too. HOWEVER, this mic loses a star solely because the location of the USB port is poor and was not thought out by the manufacturer. If your goal is to use this on a boom stand, you will be super disappointed. If you are ok with using it on the stand it came with, this microphone is perfect. Because the USB port is located at the bottom right next to where you would attach it with a thread adapter, it is impossible to have both the USB and the adapter on together at the same time (see my pics) Which basically means you can't really use it on a stand, you just have to use the desktop one it comes with. I didn't realize this until my return window had closed or I probably opted for something else. I am still giving this mic 4 stars because as I said before the audio quality really is AMAZING. I just wish the company had thought about the location of the USB and headphone jack as it really limits the versatility of the mic. The USB port should've been placed on the side. Or they should have included an adapter thread that works with their product. If they do, I will change my rating. I am still ooking or a solution to this, but until then I wouldn't recommend if you want this on a stand. Otherwise, this a fantastic quality and super affordable microphone for content creators! I still love it!

I am using this product mostly for Skype and Zoom. I have tested it with recording software on my PC laptop. I find it to give excellent results for these purposes. It handles sibilance from my voice quite well -- it seems to minimize my exagerated "s" sounds, which is a problem I have with many other microphones. The headphone monitoring is wonderful -- I use that feature all day long since I am also using the microphone as my sound card for computer sound output. If I was doing podcasts, I would probably still use a de-s-ing filter for recordings, but for Skype and Zoome communication, I don't think the level of sibilance is distracting to my listeners. The volume control and gain controls work perfectly and are both very useful. I also like the low-profile stand that comes with the microphone. I can position it so that it does not block my face when people are looking at me with zoom. The stand is stable and is unlikely to be knocked over. I have a two peace keyboard and keep the microphone between the two halves of my keyboard. I get great pick-up when it is about 8 inches from my mouth. I keep it pointed slightly below my mouth to minimize sibilance. If I push it further back from my mouth I start picking up room echo. The microphone does record the sound of keyboard clicks, but not as bad as a omnidirectional microphone. I want to mention Fifine customer service because I had a good experience with them. Originally I ordered a K053 lavalier microphone which was supposed to have zero latency headphone monitoring. I found that it did not have this feature. I contacted customer service and they helped me with some trouble shooting. I tried their suggestions and nothing worked. They told me to keep the K053 and did a full refund. They recommended the K678 and said it would do what I needed. They were right and I am very happy with this purchase.

I've been using a FiFine 669 mic for about a year now. It does a great a job. At work I use a Blue Yeti. Both are good mics with minimal differences in output quality--but the 669 is nearly 1/3 the price of the Yeti. A featured I've really missed on the 669 is a mute button, which is feature the FiFine K678 PodCast mic adds. I knew the minute I saw the 678 that i had to have it. However, when it arrived I was very disappointed. It sounded tinny and hollow--it was no match for its little brother, the 669. I quickly noticed that the headphone jack was a little screwy. If the headphone jack was plugged all the way in the headphones didn't work--the jack needed to be pulled out about 1/16". Then I noticed that there was a noticeable difference in recording quality without the headphones being plug. The quality was still raspy, but better than with the headphones plugged. Give the outrageously good reviews here and on YouTube I was sure I was doing something wrong. A couple of hours later I was sure I wasn't. But thanks to Amazon's quick and easily return policy, in 30 hours I had a replacement on my desk. I'm very happy to say that this replacement works great. It's quality is (just a little) richer and deeper than the 669. I haven't done a side-by-side with the Blue Yeti, but I don't care. The 678 is superb--and that's good enough for me. In addition to being lots more money, the Blue Yeti (weighing about four pounds) needs a $$$ Rode mic arm. The 678, about half the Blue Yeti's weight, works just fine in the cheapo mic arm I was using (link below) with the 669. If a shock mount proves necessary I am nearly certain the little arm will work with it too. With a little stretching, the OnStage (link below) pop filter works fine with the 678. This mic is a great value. For budding podcasters, streamers, and video makers, you don't need a $1500 worth of wires, an XLR mic, and an audio interface. Just get a FiFine 678 and get busy! My first thought was this looks very similar to the Blue Microphone whicht is very popular among the podcasting and streaming communities. The shape is identical, but how can something so small be so great. I had an opportunity to test the microphone this past week and here are the results. The sound comes crystal clear when it is within a reasonable distance You have the option to mute yourself when another person enters an easy plug and play option with the USB requires no CD. With it being a cardoid feature you can podcast, do voice overs, vocals, and instruments sound crystal clear between you and anyone that listens to you Has an option to plug your headphones in if you want to hear the sound you want It has way for you to put it on a mini caster, I chose not to use this feature The only downside When in voice chat other people had trouble hearing me come through The microphone must be within 6-8 inches for the sound quality to come through Overall, Fifine does it again with their simplest designs that I keep giving them five stars. This Fifine Microphone K678 has the same functions if you want to do a podcast, teach music and voice lessons online. The sound quality is by far the best this microphone has. I launch my videos to Facebook gaming, Youtube, and Bigtexgameing.com via Streamlabs obs. If you are just getting started with Online video game streaming and on a budget this is the mic I would recommend. If "Bigtexgaming", says it is one of the best then it is.

I'm very impressed by this mic. The sound is clear. It's directional enough to cut down on feedback for video calls, which I do frequently for work lately. I used it to record and playback some songs I practice on guitar and the sound quality of the mic was really clean. I don't have an assortment of other mics to give a comparison. There are cheaper options, but this seemed like the best mic I could find and still feel like I was paying somewhat of a budget price. I was a little confused by the pictures before purchasing since one picture shows two buttons and the other shows 1 button. On the front, there is a mute button and a light that changes from red to green when it's on. On the back are mic sensitivity and headphone volume knobs. I have sensitivity set to about 40% of the scale, and it just peaks out at about 1-2 feet away if I strum my acoustic guitar strongly. Look and feel of the mic are really good too. It has a smooth matte finish. It's somewhat of a charcoal color. The only improvement that comes to mind after using it for a bit is that it would be nice to feel a little more friction in the angle adjustment on the stand. I have the knobs pretty tight, and the mic moves fairly easily, but it does stay in place. That's definitely a minor thing to me. Overall, fifine made a really nice mic, and I'm glad I picked this one. I had no problems setting it up on Windows 10. I plugged it in, looked at the sound settings, and it was set as the default recording device and default speaker. I did change the default speaker back to the original device. That might trip up some people. Other than that, I installed Audacity and everything just worked.
