The media could not be loaded. This microphone is out of this world. The sound is super crisp, and it is extremely easy to set up - it's literally plug and go. I love the versatility of the mic also, you can just sit it on a desk or table as is, or remove the stand and attach to mic to a stand. So it can pretty much cover all occasions: Podcast, Youtube, live stream... The sound is crisp and also very full. High quality product too - heavier than it looks.     • Sound output L/R is switched
Input sound quality is very good. Works well for voice chat in games/discord and my zoom calls for work. Picks up my voice well even sitting about 2 feet away. I have two major complaints about the product. The first being the left and right channels are switched. I discovered after repeatedly dying in video games from the opposite way I heard an opponent. I then confirmed using sample audio that switched from left and right. After confirming it wasn't my headphones using other sources, and other headphones I ended up "Fixing" the issue using a software driver to switch the channels. The second issue is with the microphone mute button. I find I need to press it several times for it to register my input. I find I can get a higher success rate by pressing the button off center and having the button go in at a slight angle. Both these lead me to believe there is a quality control issue. I am going to reach out to the manufacturer to see if I can warranty the item. ... show more

    • This is Perfect For Content Creators
When testing a microphone I want to convey my message of whether its good or bad to the average person, which is someone who wants to start a YouTube channel, Streaming, gaming online, make music, etc and see how the microphone sounds without any tinkering. I don't see a lot of people understanding how to denoise or dereverb audio so I don't think I can simply say "just edit it and it'll sound way better". What you get straight out of the microphone is what many people will use so with that being said I want to give this microphone a solid B+ in that category. After I edited the audio for my videos it sounds even better but to be fair that would be the case for a lot of microphones. I think this microphone shines for content creation which is exactly the audience they are going for and in the right hands I feel this microphone can be used for so much more and in that sense its up to you the creator to find its best use. If you are a YouTuber who needs to capture audio for a roll, b-roll, streaming and if you want to do ASMR/Folley audio, this will definitely be your microphone. ... show more

    • Excellent!
The Fifine K678 is an incredible microphone for under a $100. For voiceovers, it rivals my AKG C414 mics and those are around $1000 a piece. It truly is plug and play. I use Camtasia and ScreenFlow to create lectures for my college music courses which recently went online. I plugged the K678 in with the included USB cable and it was instantly recognized. You don't need any drivers. I am very impressed with the clean and crisp sound. Although I wouldn't record my grand piano if I wanted a pro level sound but, I did a test and it actually sounded decent. One thing I really love is the that once I get the level dialed in, I can move my head around within a foot or so without changing the volume or tone quality. The mic pattern is cardioid which means my untreated room still sounds good because sounds bouncing off the wall behind don't get picked up much. I know the packaging doesn't determine the quality, but Fifine did a great job at this. It reminds me of Apple packaging - very slick. I'm am very happy with this purchase. I know there are a few other brands that get touted as the top USB mics and I'm sure they are great, but this is considerably less expensive and is still solid. I couldn't say whether some of the more expensive USB mics are even better because I haven't used them, but I don't think you can go wrong with this one. ... show more

    • Little thing come in big packages
My first thought was this looks very similar to the Blue Microphone whicht is very popular among the podcasting and streaming communities. The shape is identical, but how can something so small be so great. I had an opportunity to test the microphone this past week and here are the results. The sound comes crystal clear when it is within a reasonable distance You have the option to mute yourself when another person enters an easy plug and play option with the USB requires no CD. With it being a cardoid feature you can podcast, do voice overs, vocals, and instruments sound crystal clear between you and anyone that listens to you Has an option to plug your headphones in if you want to hear the sound you want It has way for you to put it on a mini caster, I chose not to use this feature The only downside When in voice chat other people had trouble hearing me come through The microphone must be within 6-8 inches for the sound quality to come through Overall, Fifine does it again with their simplest designs that I keep giving them five stars. This Fifine Microphone K678 has the same functions if you want to do a podcast, teach music and voice lessons online. The sound quality is by far the best this microphone has. I launch my videos to Facebook gaming, Youtube, and Bigtexgameing.com via Streamlabs obs. If you are just getting started with Online video game streaming and on a budget this is the mic I would recommend. If "Bigtexgaming", says it is one of the best then it is. ... show more
