  • Awesome microphone
Color: Blue
These microphones are amazing and very affordable. The cheap ones had bad reviews and were on the frequently returned list. I bought 2 of these for my ps4 for singing games, we have a lot and do game nights. I plugged it in and it works amazing, it's crystal clear and the size fits right into your hand perfectly. The knob makes controlling the volume easy. It is compatible with the ps4 as well. All in all they are perfect for what i am using them for. ... show more

  • Does the job like it's supposed to
Color: Black
Aye, this is exactly what I needed. Very sensitive mic, but not an issue at all because you can turn down the volume, or turn it up, it's picking up details. I haven't recorded a full song with it yet but I can't wait. For the price, 10/10, no wasted money on flashy or quirky details, just performance. Compatible with my Lenovo ThinkPad, Windows 11. Compared to a $40 dynamic mic I got on sale for $20, the function is just a lot better. The dynamic mic I have has rgb lighting and an echo knob, but doesn't do what a mic is supposed to do well, which is record. This condenser mic doesn't have fancy lights or extra features, but records like butter. ... show more

  • Excellent isolation but dull mid- and high-range frequencies IMO
Color: Black
I picked this up to try out for voiceover work on my YouTube videos and possibly videoconferencing. So many positive reviews, especially at its price point. I have two monitors, and my desk is in a corner so even lavalier mics that I had tried were still picking up a lot of reverb and reflection from all the hard surfaces, making my audio sound thin and echo-y. This mic, being a cardioid type, does an excellent job of isolating my voice and minimizing the unwanted reflections. I tested it both without, and with sound treatment foam in a 3-sided configuration under, behind, and against the adjacent wall and the difference was barely noticeable. It does an excellent job of rejecting unwanted reflections. I have the mic set up on my desktop with the included tripod, about 15" from my face. There is barely a difference in volume between on- and off-axis performance - On-axis being with me speaking directly at the diaphragm, and off-axis being with the mic next to my laptop (about 9" off center) and angled in at my face. I'm impressed with the consistency. Noise floor is very low, with no appreciable hiss even with the volume nearly maxed. I find the character of the K669B's sound to be midbass heavy. I think it also lacks presence in the midrange and is very flat in the upper range. It presents much more of a soft "AM radio" sound than a clear and dynamic "FM radio" sound. It sort of sounds like like it's under a blanket. Some folks might like that smooth character for podcasts or something, but I found it to be dull. By rolling off some bass below 250Hz, and boosting everything a bit on a slope from 2kHz up to 20kHz I was able to "pull the blanket" off of this mic a bit and open it up. Your preferences may vary. Either way it's a massive improvement over a laptop mic or gamer headset, and genuine value at its price point. ... show more

  • legit plug and play - works right out of the box
Color: White
very impressed. i plugged this into my HP windows 11 laptop, expecting a confusing installation process, but nothing happened. so i go to my settings, look at the device manager, and the mic was already recognized, plus it automatically became the default. nice! i went to update the drivers, and it was already up to date. this is true plug and play. i got the white color, and it looks very sleek. i appreciate that it came with a mic stand because i would have totally forgotten about that. the sound is nice and clear, no buzzing or interference. if you're looking for a cheap budget mic, spend an extra $10 now and get this one instead. the quality is significantly better plus it'll last longer, it's a worthwhile investment. ... show more

  • A great mic for an even better price
Color: Black
Holy cow this Mic is nice. I've played with microphones from 5$-1000$+ and to be honest there is no bigger diminishing returns than a microphone. There is also almost next to no price-quality correlation either. A 100$ mic can sound and act like a 2$ mic and a 30$ mic can act like a 200$ mic. If you don't believe me check out any of the tests where they blindfold people and compare. Majority of people fail to determine a difference. This thing is simply outstanding. More than you can ask for. The mic itself is STURDY. Metal stand, THICK polymer mic with a metal grille. Simple plug and play with a volume knob. That FUNCTIONS. A good majority of volume knobs dont really adjust that well. It's either full blast or nothing with most. This is perfect. I work in a noisy office and calling through this can turn down the background noise from those loud coworkers. This is great for someone just starting out with a mic or someone who is experienced with them. Simple plug and play no amps needed. ... show more

  • Outstanding mic for the money
Color: Black
I bought this so when I have zoom meetings I could have booming, room-penetrating audio so I could talk over everybody else with their crappy tinny audio. This works so well. Really good microphone for the money. If you do any kind of audio meetings, just buy this. You can leave it out of sight, and it is such good quality audio. Don't be that person with the really awful room audio. ... show more

  • A really great USB microphone for the price
Color: Black
This is a really great microphone for the price. I use it for my podcasts and some voice overs. I highly recommend this microphone especially if you're on a budget, but still want a really good microphone

  • Works but quiet and has a lot of whitenoise.
Color: Black
I've used this microphone for six months now. So far, it has held up pretty well. I first purchased it due to the overwhelming amount of good reviews and the sound quality test videos in them. Videos were both in review section of this product as well as on YouTube. I'm sure LinusTechTips even covered it. They were loud and clear, with little to no white noise. Upon arrival and use it is not up to the promises made by those reviews, and therefore I am quite disappointed. After my purchase this is what I found out: The microphone has some sort of driver issue. At points it will change its own input volume. Sometimes it picks up audio every half second and the other half it does not. You'll either have to reconnect the microphone or restart your PC, there is no consistency to which one works. I thought it was an issue with my computer so I tried resetting it as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. Issue remained. 1. - Volume knob 30-40% - Microphone Volume in Windows at 100% - About 10cm (4 inches) away from mouth The sound quality is great at this point if you test it on recording applications. However it does not matter when others don't hear you that well. I've used it across various applications from Zoom, Discord, Teams, etc and the problem is quite consistent. Even when I raise my input volume to max and the other person raises theirs to max, I'm still quiet. 2. - Volume knob 55-60% - Microphone Volume in Windows at 100% - About 10cm (4 inches) away from mouth Loud but not clear. It picks up a lot of white noise. Again, not as satisfactory as people say it is. 3. - Volume knob above 60% - Microphone Volume in Windows at 100% - About 10cm (4 inches) away from mouth Nope. Nope. 4. - Volume knob at 55-60% - Microphone Volume in Windows at 80% - About 10cm (4 inches) away from mouth Still quiet. Definitely better than #1, but just not enough. At this point I discover there is also a bug where the white noise mostly goes away when you shift the windows volume to be lower and the gain/volume knob on the microphone itself to be higher. Upon disconnecting and reconnecting after setting the volumes to these, the white noise comes back. The white noise went away only a few times but now I just can't seem to replicate that. 4.5. I buy a mic arm. The mic is now stationed 30cm (about 11.8 inches) from the table. I repeat step 1 to 4 to see if any of them works. Nope. White noise is still the exact same. I turn down the fans and every possible noise in the room. Same same. I realize it's the mic, not the environment. After this point I don't even worry about the microphone itself and use software. 5. I keep the 55-60% knob volume and 80% windows volume and resort to noise cancelling on the applications I use. Works sometimes and does not work also. Again, microphone has some issues and inconsistency with input volume. 6. Same settings, I use Voicemeeter Banana. The application itself brings extra whitenoise after each spoken sentence but very decent volume gains. The noise cancelling in applications do not help. 7. NVIDIA Broadcast on top of Voicemeeter Banana, without noise cancelling on applications. Good enough but now it does not pick up quieter "Mhm" or small hums. 8. NVIDIA Broadcast with 100% windows volume and 60% volume knob on hardware. Works. Less white noise but still does not pick up quieter things you might say. Now the issue is I have to start up an application to fix this. After testing out multitude of things in the span of six months to fix the issue most other people do not seem to have, I decide I either received a faulty product or the reviews are fake. I also dropped the microphone earlier today a few times while moving my setup. It is not broken or damaged in any way. This thing lasts for sure. In conclusion, the reviews were indeed too good to be true at the price point for a USB mic. Does it work though? Yes, yes it does, just not as advertised and not good enough for how decent of a feedback it has from people. It's not worth it for the amount of adjusting you'll need to do to make it work decently enough. But if you're okay with that, go on ahead. ... show more
