  • Please buy worth every penny
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
Love this microphone. I was kinda nervous buying a microphone again at this price since the last mic I had got that I thought was expensive was a dud, talking to you Jlab pro talk or whatever it was called, but this mic blew me away with how crystal clear it sound. very sensitive, this thing can hear a mouse fart, but for my studio vocal recording for my novel I cant think of anything I could want more than this. I also use it in USB mode which I have found no down fall to that at all. the durability is definitely something, it feels heavy and premium and sturdy for real. I get giddy everytime I get to use it bc I like to own nice things and this is definitely one of the nicest pro pieces of equipment I own. The setup was easy for my M4 Max mac studio and the functionality of everything was definitely plug and play. please buy this mic you will not regret it. ... show more

  • Clean, Detailed Vocals with Studio-Level Clarity Clean, Detailed Vocals with Studio-Level Clarity
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
I’m using the RØDE NT1 5th Gen primarily to record my vocals, and the sound quality is immediately noticeable. The vocals come through very clean and detailed, without sounding harsh or overly processed. It captures natural tone and nuance, which makes it great for both singing and spoken voice. I really like the flexibility of having both XLR and USB outputs. It made setup easy right out of the box, and I can switch between interfaces depending on what I’m working on. The included shock mount and pop filter are solid and do their job well, helping reduce plosives and vibrations during recording. This microphone feels truly professional and well thought out. It’s quiet, reliable, and delivers consistent results, especially for vocal recording. If you’re serious about music production, podcasting, or any kind of vocal work, this is a high-quality mic that lives up to its reputation. ... show more

  • Great Budget Mic
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Silver
I got the Rode NT1 5th Generation as a birthday gift for my 19-year-old son, who is a college student and an aspiring artist, and I couldn’t have chosen a better microphone! From the moment he unboxed it, he was thrilled with the sleek silver design and the professional-quality build. Performance & Sound Quality Right out of the box, the NT1 delivers studio-grade clarity with an incredibly low noise floor. The warm, rich tone captures vocals beautifully, making it perfect for recording music, podcasts, and voiceovers. My son immediately noticed how crisp and detailed his voice sounded—no harshness, no distortion, just pure, natural audio. It picks up even the subtlest nuances, which makes it feel like a high-end mic at a mid-range price. Ease of Use & Connectivity One of the biggest highlights of the 5th Gen NT1 is its dual USB and XLR output, which makes it super versatile. As a college student with a limited setup, my son loves that he can plug it directly into his laptop via USB without needing an audio interface. When he’s in the studio, the XLR output lets him connect to professional equipment seamlessly. It’s truly a plug-and-play experience with zero learning curve, which is fantastic for beginners and pros alike. SM6 Shockmount & Pop Filter The included SM6 shockmount and pop filter are a huge plus. The shockmount does a great job of isolating the mic from vibrations, and the pop filter eliminates plosives, making recordings sound even cleaner. It’s a complete professional setup straight out of the box—no need to buy extra accessories. Final Verdict This microphone exceeded expectations and was the perfect gift for an aspiring artist. My son absolutely loves it and has been using it nonstop to record new music. Whether for home recordings, streaming, or professional studio use, the Rode NT1 5th Gen is an absolute winner. If you’re looking for a high-quality, future-proof mic for a budding musician, this is it. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Doesn’t get better than this
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
Honestly can say this is the only mic worth buying at this price point. If you can control the environment noise, it’s the best quality mic in this range. Love that it has usb connection. I’ll probably never use it, but it’s good on the go. Just plug and play. Easy to use.

If this mic can’t catch it, it’s not sound. Very high quality—sturdy, sensitive, and refined all at once.

  • Another Rode product I love!
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
I’ve been a Rode user since my film college days and I am again impressed with how good their products are. I recently started getting into music and I needed something that isn’t going to break my bank but has good quality. I landed on this after doing some research and I am super happy I did! Love the quality of the sound I get and the versatility of the dual connectors. USB-C has been a life saver if you just want to record something quick even on your iPhone. XLR is always just better and get that “raw” recording with more information and quality, but I love having both options especially if you travel! The design of the mic is also sleek and clean! One thing I do wish I knew, or maybe because I skipped reading any of the manuals that come with it, is that the microphone records sound only from one side (you facing the gold dot side) For some reason, and I wasn’t the only one, I thought that having the Rode logo facing me was the way, or I just thought it didn’t matter lol. Oh boy it did. I kept hearing my cat in the other room instead of myself, until I went online to look up what environment of the house sounds best for recording and one video said made sure your mic is turned the right way first :-D After I got that figured out, I love everything about this mic! ... show more

  • Great quality.
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
Really good for the cost. I have no regrets. Even the shock mount feels sturdy. Recording is crisp with low latency even when using a poor quality USB cable (for the sake of testing). Also heavier than I expected but I don't mind.
