  • Sound quality is excellent
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
This is a great product. Easy to set up and the sound quality is excellent. I am having some software issues, though. Only certain software can record 32-bit floating point audio. In Audacity, I am experiencing periods of a sudden drop in loudness of the recording, but only when doing long recordings (more than 10 minutes). The periods last for about 10 seconds and appear at random in the recordings. The recordings are unusable when this occurs. I am not moving on to Adobe Audition and will see what happens. I am presuming that this is a software issues and not a problem with the microphone. ... show more

  • Low noise profile, good quality, clear highs. What else do you want for these money?

I'm shock how good this microphone is. Totally in love with it. I've got too much inspiration from this piece of tech and started to do music with 2x speed))

  • Blue brought me here, and I don’t want to leave
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
Had a nightmare with a blue microphone which had been my go to for a long time, and finally gave up and came here. This one works much better and has a great sound. It does require phantom power and has a relatively low input so it’s meant more for singing/music than just talking. But I’m very pleased. ... show more

  • Perfect for Voice Overs!
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
I am a budding book narrator and this microphone is PERFECT for me. It can capture all the nuances of my voice and can register all the different timbre. It is super easy to set up and looks great! I love that it comes with a shock mount and if I needed, I can use a USB cable instead of a XLR and audio interface. ... show more

  • Great adaptability
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
The microphone is very sturdy and the sound quality is excellent. I think the biggest bonus to this set up is the fact that it comes with the shock holder and a pop filter. Also, you can connect at USB-C or XLR so it's really a one stop shop for you. Super happy with the purchase.

  • Great Microphone with Professional Sounde
Model: NT1 5th Gen Color: Black
First off, this mic is super easy to use straight out of the box. I purchased an external interface (Scarlett Solo) just in case the built-in interface didn’t produce as good of a sound. Did comparison records and I could hear a slight difference between connecting directly via usb-c vs using the external interface. It was so close though that I didn’t know which was better, both had great clarity and sound quality. One friend thought the “without interface” sounded clearer and crisper, but two professionals whom I sent my clips to liked the “with interface” sound better and said it was a clearer RAW sound for me. Without the interface, it sounds slightly bass-y, like it's gone through a post-edit and been slightly Eq'd. I recorded in a walk-in closet using a reflector shield and the built in pop filter and you don't hear a “floor”. Suggestion... use the USB-C for when you travel (it'll do well in a pinch to just have the mic and laptop) and keep the interface set up in your home studio - love this versatility. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, there’s nowhere to plug in headphones if using the USB-C, so I do prefer using with the Scarlett interface. But I’m puzzled why this mic is $20 cheaper than the previous 4th generation that doesn’t have the built in interface option. Nevertheless, very happy with this mic and my new home studio set up. ... show more
