These are good quality porcelain insulators. They do come with a rubber gasket but the double notched heads are not for horses. This is a real DANGER AS IT WILL BE AN EXPOSED NAIL HEAD. I am using this item for a dog fence so I feel more confident that it is less of a chance of injury. Get some regular fence nails or screws to make flush for cherished livestock. ... show more

This has long nails that work great when putting the insulator on a fence post. Most have shorter nails that can fall out quicker.
