My wife used an earlier model that was furnished in the bathroom of an Air BnB rental, and she loved it. Each day she mentioned something about it that she liked, so when we got home I looked it up on Amazon. They had two newer models, and my wife, bless her heart, said "Get the cheaper one!" so I did. I purchased this dryer based on reviews that indicated it gets very hot, which I prefer as it straightens my hair easily. The dryer was perfect - until it stopped blowing hot air. It now provides only a lukewarm stream of air. I’ve had the dryer for only three months, and can’t return it to Amazon as it’s outside the return window. Additionally, the manufacturer’s warranty stipulates that they’ll accept it with an original receipt from a professional salon. Warranty states “Appliances purchased through the Internet or from any outlet other than a professional salon are not covered by this warranty.” On top of that, if you DO receive authorization to return it, you must pay a $35 shipping, handling and replacement fee! Having already thrown away over $90 for this dryer, I cannot recommend this product. My old $13 Conair dryer is better than this. ... show more

Smooths hair, dries quickly, and is exceptionally lightweight. After using this dryer at a fine hotel, I bought it immediately. It's a steep price tag, but I'm very very happy with this purchase and how my hair looks. $160 retail price is a bit steep, so I hope that it lasts for several years. Placement of on/off switches is awkward. I bump them often when using the dryer. Cord is ridiculously long. Dryer is otherwise very functional. Easy to handle and dries hair quickly. Multiple settings are nice.

I love the product, except this is my 2nd one, the 1st one was relatively new..maybe 1 yr 3months old and the fan came flying off the back, and I couldnt open to reattach fan. Before I odered another one I asked FHI to make good on the warranty and I got NO response!
