The Festool 576479 TID 18 Impact Driver Basic is a powerhouse tool that offers an impressive service life thanks to its extremely robust hammer mechanism. It is the perfect combination of a powerful new generation brushless EC TEC motor and battery pack that ensures maximum performance, endurance, and exceptional run time. The Driver's compact, ergonomic design enables you to work accurately, and for longer, without becoming tired, even in hard to reach areas. The safe, kickback free hammer mechanism strikes on the tangent along the direction of rotation, so it drives the fastener rather than spinning the drill around, thus protecting your wrist from strain. The "Intelligent Power" of the Driver offers extremely strong performance, and ensures that work is tailored to the material with three different speed settings, plus a clever T-mode that detects the transition between sheet metal and wood and automatically adapts the speed. The T-mode is especially effective with self tapping screws. The TID 18's standard universal quick-release chuck accepts 1/4" impact-rated bit holders and bits. Generous integrated magnetic bit storage, LED lighting for illumination of the work area, and a removable / reversible belt clip that attaches to either side, help round out this featured packed drill.
