    • Nice bag, crappy cap hanger.
Yep its a bag. Holds / controls dust great. 5 rates the bag, and a 1 rates the cap hanger. The flimsy cap holder gets in the way. You can fold it over the top and it wont rip off but not at all Festoolish. The supportive wire frame keeps it firm so if you are in tight spots its cumbersome. We only use the cap when storing the tool so you can cut the cap off and keep it in your box until you are ready to cap the bag. The bag must be removed to store in the systainer. But it will fit on top of the saw when in the box which makes it convenient. ... show more

Like all Festool items, this bag is amazing. I purchased it to use on my TS55 req and it fit right on the dust port and catches most of the dust. If you are working outdoors or don’t have access to dust collection this bag is a life saver.

Should have come with the saw.....it works. Feels slightly cumbersome, but it can rotate to a kinda out of the way position.

Purchased this bag for my “Corded” TS 55 track saw. Performed well during the cutting process, caught almost all the mdf dust the blade produced. Great for a quick cut when the vac isn’t available. Folds flat for storage in the sustainer box. Excellent purchase.

The dust bag provides very effective filtering of dust. It holds a lot of dust before needing to be emptied. And it is easy to attach, if you take the time to carefully read directions. This dust bag along with the required adapter, are the perfect accessory for compatible power tools

So glad I bought this. This dust bag does what does what others should but don't. I now have no reservations to work in a living space. My Japanese hand saw leaves more saw dust on the floor than my Festool cordless. Great job Festool.

    • I'd simply like a manufacturers version
I recently picked up the HKC 55 and snagged a back to go with it. I wanted to vote it as a 3.5, but it won't let me give a half star. I'll review only the bag in this and exclude the saw for now. 1: As a portable dust collection device, it's phenomenal. 2: The dust cap works... HOWEVER... When the bag is attached to the saw, the little piece of flat fabric (black gift wrap I suspect), allows the cap to dangle and move around. A number of times mine has gotten stuck on everything from the blade guard, table, FSK rail, dust bunny, or gnat. After approximately 30 cuts (2x6) I noticed the threaded seam had failed and is currently down to a single thread. My first thought was "Honestly, for $42, I'd expect this to have been figured out, clearly someone found a cheap solution... or it was a last minute 'oh no we forgot the cap' 10 minutes before it was sent to production." Then the next thought came to mind; why not epoxy a tiny magnet to the cap? the frame of the bag is magnetic. And there you have it. Use the chinsy strap to keep from dropping it, embed a magnet on the cap itself and no more troubles. If the aforementioned idea makes it to the engineering realm for production, I'd simply like a manufacturers version. Love the saw, love the bag, hate the last minute bandaid solution. ... show more
