  • Love it!
Style: Symphonic Grand Piano
Our 2 year old boy received this piano for Christmas. It has been really fun for all of us! The sound is electronic rather than xylophone and it has several different types of sound that you can change the tone to. There are several preset beats that have been great for him to explore. The microphone is easy to use even for our 2 year old after we showed him what to do. Recording will be down the road, which is another great aspect of this instrument... it will grow with him and keep his interest for a long time. He especially likes the melody when you turn it on and off. He will turn it on and off just to hear that! I have heard more versions of the ABC's in the last couple of weeks than I ever dreamed of. As far as the family enjoying it together... His 11 year old brother has enjoyed playing with it as well, even though he has to kneel down in front of it to play! Daddy and I have plunked out a couple of tunes as well. We all get some instrument or noise-maker and sing the toddler's songs with him. He LOVES it! Cons are small, but the top of the piano that opens can pop off pretty easily. The stand to hold it open also pops off easily. It's not a problem for us, and it seems sturdy enough to take such a beating, but it can be irritating. The microphone holder is also very easily removed or lost, but it doesn't effect the use of the microphone other than if you'd like to keep the mic stationary while you play. The piano is made of plastic so it is a little wobbly but we've set it up in a corner so that it is supported a little more. It probably isn't a big deal given that you don't sit/climb ON the piano, but if you have a tot that plays rough it could need to be set up in a more protected area. It was a great purchase for our family!! ... show more

  • very entertaining!
Style: Symphonic Grand Piano
This piano is just too cute! My daughter loves it! There are a few things that could be better. The piano is sort of flimsy. It's made of plastic, and it is not very sturdy. I like how it opens like a real grand piano, but it's only being held up by a piece of plastic, and it doesn't stay held in securly. Most of the time, I don't know where the piece is, and the piano just stays closed. The microphone is awesome, other than the fact that the cord isnt very long, and the peice that holds up the mic, can come off very easliy as well. My daughter doesn't understand that she doesn't have to put her mouth directly on the mic, so it collects lots of spit, and wouldn't work until it dried out. Either way, it is fun, entertaining, and nothing makes me smile more than my daughter announcing "Ladie's and gentlemen, introducing MOMMY!" ... show more

  • Turning my daughter into a star
Style: Symphonic Grand Piano
When selecting Christmas gifts for my then two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, I knew immediately that I wanted to get her a keyboard. I wanted to purchase something that would last for a while, but I couldn't afford the more expensive wooden ones. Also, they lacked the features this piano had, including a built-in microphone and tone bank. I was pleasantly surprised when this toy arrived. Setup was easy. The legs popped quickly into place and battery installation was hardly a chore (some toys are a total nightmare what with all the screws). The microphone snapped into place with ease. My daughter was thrilled when she heard her voice and thankfully the speakers are not super-loud. Though it is a plastic toy, it doesn't look or feel cheap. Until you touch it, it looks just like a small, stylish real baby grand piano. It produces nice sounds including some fun beats. My daughter regularly enjoys playing her piano, preferring to stand, rather than sit at the bench. I think her only issue is the short cord on the microphone. She wants to swagger around with it as she sings and it's on the short side (probably a safety issue--understandable on the part of the manufacturer). Also, we regularly lose the propping stick that holds the case open. The purchase price was less than $50 and to me, worth every penny. It brings my little girl so much joy. It looks attractive and has a pleasant piano sound. If you have a budding singer or pianist, this toy is a wonderful starter toy. ... show more

  • We love this piano
Style: Symphonic Grand Piano
We love this piano. We bought it about two years ago for our daughter's second birthday. She's four now and it's a hit. She's using it a lot and her friends too. Not to mention us, the adults, too. I have also to give a good feedback for their customer service. The microphone has stopped working after few months and I'm pretty sure it was due to all the pulling and tugging of the little kids. I emailed the seller and asked if they could send me a replacement and that I'll be more than happy to pay for it. They send me a replacement very fast and didn't charge me for anything. We compared this piano to other wooden toy pianos like Mellisa and Doug and with this one we are so pleased because the piano sound it makes is as close as you'll get to the real sound of piano, while the other wooden toy pianos we compared would make an annoying xylophone sounds. As for lead, I honestly don't know. Since other reviewers mentioned it and it wasn't clear whether it has lead or not, I was very careful opening the packaging and looked for any warning on the packaging and in the instruction manual and there was no warning or mentioning any lead. I hope that the manufacturer or the seller will just give us an official answer if it has lead or not. Assuming there is no lead,I would highly recommend this wonderful toy. ... show more

  • Cute, but flimsy
Style: Symphonic Grand Piano
The price was certainly right, however the overall materials make this product very flimsy. If you bump into it, it falls over. And, my son who just turned three looks mammoth next to it. It is certanly not built for someone 3 yrs and up. The best thing about this is the piano functionality itself - many pre-programmed songs and the ability to change between various instruments are fun. My son especially likes to hear himself sing on the microphone. Its cute, but certainly, I won't be getting much time out of this. ... show more
