  • High quality just smaller than expected...
I've become a Festool fan the last few years and though this would be a nice little addition to the collection. I know it's only a screw driver handle, but I really like it. It is well made with an awesome fit and finish. The one I received has a couple tiny scratches, but I don't mind. The festool extension fits just as it should and their bits fit perfect as well. Bits lock in and don't move, easy to eject. I do have to say, it is smaller than I was expecting, more compared to other handles I have, but it does fit well in my hand and it is comfortable to use. Good grip on it. Though it's a little on the pricey side, I love it and would gladly recommend. ... show more

  • This is actually really nice to have.
While trying to look up some accessories to potentially get for my CXS, (bits or centrotec bit extension), I saw this again and got to thinking how handy this might be. I've had many situations where I am driving a screw with my CXS but might be limited in space or need to do a final feel on the screw by hand.. so all that has to happen is pop the chuck off the drill and onto this hand driver. Not only this but you can transform this thing from a short stubby bit driver, by sticking a bit right into the holder, or using a centrotec chuck with a medium length bit holder, or use the 6 inch bit holder for max reach. This kind of simple, smooth versatility is awesome. With this centrotec system, even the 6 inch bit extension is very solid feeling and wobble is minimal, unlike if you just put in a long bit right into the hex slot. Something else that is very neat, is that you can actually hook this thing up to the right angle chuck and spin it for some harder to reach action..maybe not something you will do often but still neat. I found the quality of the driver to be very good as well, which is what I was hoping for considering it's Festool. ... show more

  • Works on standard bits but does not lock on Centrotec bits
Does lock on standard bits, but does not lock on the longer shaft of the Festool Centrotec ended bits. A little disappointed as it appears that Festool use to make a driver hancle with Centrotec locking ability.

  • Glorified Screwdriver Handle
This hand driver is compatible with Festool's interchangeable system of Centrotec chucks and bits. It is essentially a glorified screwdriver handle. While boring, this manual driver is indispensable when extreme torque, or torque sensitivity, are required. Those are things that the typical pistol-grip drill/driver cannot provide, on account of ergonomics. So this is the tool I reach for when I need to bridge my entire body weight to break loose a screw; or delicately use my hands to avoid over-tightening. I'm of the opinion that interchangeable drivers are an inferior choice for depot operations, because they are slower to deploy than a set of fixed drivers hung on the wall. However, for job site work, this hand driver is a great accessory to keep in the Systainer that houses your Festool electric drill/driver kit. In my fantasies, I imagine a ratcheting version of this driver handle. Alas, this is a simple, fixed apparatus. The hand driver does have a nice, big grip which yields slightly in the clenched fist, for better purchase. The only downside is that the grip material tends to bind dust particles: after floating around the workshop, this accessory definitely looks like the working tool it is, as opposed to a show tool. As soon as I purchased this hand driver, I discovered that I desperately wanted an extra Festool 492135 Centrotec Chuck to go with, to mitigate inefficiencies of the interchangeable driver model. Consequently, you may want to add one of those chucks to your shopping cart, if you don't have an extra laying about, already. ... show more

  • Works perfectly with Festool Centrotec bits as well as standard 1/4" bits
The media could not be loaded. This compact hand driver works perfectly with Festool Centrotec bits as well as standard 1/4" bits, including bits with simple straight shanks! All bits fit securely with minimal side to side slop. Perfect solution for my needs! j Bought two.

  • Garbage
Literally rebranded wera kraftform 816R which sells for $20 and they have terrible tolerance and the bits flop around. The only choice is wiha centrofix, zero wiggle, locks on all 1/4 shank types.

  • The action of the bit-holder is second to none!
The action of the bit-holder is second to none! It is exactly what good ergonomics practices would produce! You can insert a common 1/4" hex bit or Festool Centrotec bit without "cocking" the holder. When you slide the holder toward the bit, the bit gently clicks forward free of the hold. You can easily perform bit replacements one-handed. ... show more
