When this product arrived, it was loose inside a large cardboard box. Upon assembling it, I found that one of the four locking hinges was missing (pictured). I contacted the company's support via e-mail, and they mailed out a replacement the next day. They said it would take 5-10 business days, but it only took 2 since I live in the same state. Now that all four hinges are in place, I'm very happy with the carrier. One note about assembly: Make sure you insert the two hooks at the front first, or things won't align properly. ... show more

The hinge part shown in the photo clearly got bent or crashed during shipment or packaging. For my first order which I successfully got an exchange, that hinge part was completely broken. The item is indeed pretty cheap, so it makes sense and I’m not gonna complain too much.

It’s an ok carrier. When you’re in a rush to get puppy out you have to turn two things to open the door. It’s a perfect size for smaller dogs. You can open the door two different directions too.

A nice shoe-in for taking multiple cats to the vet when they need different carriers. Quick fix for that at a decent price! It's become a toy now for them to play in and around since the door does hinge and swing if you keep one side locked and the other side unlocked. It's also quick and easy to open one corner to administer wormer if your vet techs forget to do it in the office. It could be sturdier; if your cats wiggle a lot in it while you're carrying them, the handle twitches and it feels like you dropped the bottom of the carrier, when in reality the cat is just freaking out.
