I realized this when I was taking my cats to the vet. We stopped and the kennel lurched forward while the other two kennels we were using for my other cats did not budge. Even though I give this 3 stars, I actually like it. It just has some flaws that can't be looked over. Ships in a big box without any bubble wrap, styrofoam ect. I purchased this for transporting my rats so the size is perfect and roomy for them. The quality is poor but again it's for rats so it'll work. I wouldn't put anything bigger than a Chihuahua in it though. Some reviews say the door has to be removed completely each time but that's not true, just keep one side latched and unlatch/latch the other side when placing your pet inside, no biggie. I will be using zip ties to make sure it stays together though cause it doesn't seem to want to stay together or snap. If this was $10 or less it would make more sense but it's the cheapest I found and the size is perfect for what I need, I'll just have to do some finagling to make sure my rat ladies don't escape. ... show more

When this product arrived, it was loose inside a large cardboard box. Upon assembling it, I found that one of the four locking hinges was missing (pictured). I contacted the company's support via e-mail, and they mailed out a replacement the next day. They said it would take 5-10 business days, but it only took 2 since I live in the same state. Now that all four hinges are in place, I'm very happy with the carrier. One note about assembly: Make sure you insert the two hooks at the front first, or things won't align properly. ... show more

I appreciate that this crate is inexpensive, and it works well as long as it isn't moved and the animal inside is light. For my 3 1/5 pound puppy, it is sufficient. I do find that the door comes off easily, and although the top snaps to the bottom, it doesn't feel very secure. As my puppy gains weight I will have to get a different crate. ... show more

A nice shoe-in for taking multiple cats to the vet when they need different carriers. Quick fix for that at a decent price! It's become a toy now for them to play in and around since the door does hinge and swing if you keep one side locked and the other side unlocked. It's also quick and easy to open one corner to administer wormer if your vet techs forget to do it in the office. It could be sturdier; if your cats wiggle a lot in it while you're carrying them, the handle twitches and it feels like you dropped the bottom of the carrier, when in reality the cat is just freaking out.
