This window privacy film is stunning! It provides minimum visibility through a window, making it very functional in providing a great deal of privacy. It was very easy to install, with a grid on the backing that allowed it to easily be cut to size. If you follow the instructions, you'll have no problems and the stickiness is amazing. It was easy to remove any bubbles using a squeegee device. One note about the "green tabs" mentioned to assist in removing the backing: they are NOT actually on the backing already. They are attached to a separate piece of paper included in the packing. You'll need to peel one off and attach it to the smooth side of the film (the removable backing). When you do this, it's easier to remove the backing if some of the green tab's adhesive extends beyond the edge of the backing film. ... show more

These were $5.99 a roll: a quarter of the price of the artscape window film I typically buy. The difference shows. It's a thinner film, a narrower roll, and the rolls don't tile evenly the way artscape does, so if you want your pattern to match across the window there will be waste. But it's 5.99 a roll; the cost of doing this window was $18 v $90 for artscape. Do order an extra roll. Hit the dollar store and buy a spray bottle; LIBERALLY and repeatedly spray the window with slightly soapy water. Use a gift card or spatula to spread it smoothly and tightly to the window. It will slide a bit while wet, but will be stuck firmly when it's dry. Now, as to pattern matching. Here's where you'll need to be careful. Start from the middle of the window and work out, so your full sheets are where you'll notice them. Remember to match the diamonds top to bottom-- I did install one roll upside down: the pattern isn't directional that way. Instead of trying to match the pattern across the edges, cut out your partial diamonds on both sides, then overlap the next roll. Use small pieces-- it's a great place to use scraps-- too large of a piece and it slips while installing, so trim your roll down before you install the edge pieces if needed. I did the sides of these windows in four sections. Use lots of soapy water. When you cut-- and you can peel the film off the window to use scissors, or use a sharp knife-- cut at the edges of the black lines. When you overlap the film, you'll use those lines to match the pattern. Overlay of two colors looks pretty; gives you some more variation. All in all, well worth the price point; if you had a very narrow window, it'd be a super easy install. They do note the pattern will fade in time, so be aware, but that's true of all window film. This has got to be one of my better finds. This came in the perfect size. It was super easy to install with hardly any bubbles. The instructions were so easy and this provided the privacy that I needed. This was perfect for my Victorian home giving that window a stained glass look. My guests have no idea that it’s window film until I tell them. Because there’s no glue I wanted to remove it. It would be super easy. I feel like it also may be providing a little bit more warmth to the room by adding that layer to the window to keep heat in and cool this out. ... show more

I'm absolutely loving the privacy and vibe these give my bedroom. Makes me happy every time I walk by or into my room. The light changes throughout the day and it even helps reduce glare from the street lights at night. Very pleased! I ordered this for my 22 year old kid who lives in an old, Victorian home that’s been turned into apartments. Their bathroom needed blinds but the window was a pain trying to get correctly sized blinds in and installed properly. Enter the beautiful window film! It certainly did the job! It was easily installed with a little soapy water in a spray bottle and a sharp knife. To prevent a heat accumulation from the sun during summer only, I used this film. Since I need it as temporary and not permanent, I applied it not to the window directly, but to a plexiglass, which I cut it from two pieces of the IKEA office chair clear protector. I can attach it in the late spring and remove it in early fall. It looks like real stained glass, makes some privacy and prevent a heat buildup. Since my window size is bigger than a plexiglass protector, I had to purchase two pieces and attach them together using clear scotch moving tape. That plexiglass thick enough to stay vertically (important: stitch should be vertical, not horizontal!). I attach that plexiglass with the film on it to the window with the clear scotch tape as well. It works like a charm! The dark spots on the pictures are caused by the roof and tree shadows. I took them at different times. I love a stained glass! But that is very expensive! If you do too, this is the inexpensive way to have in your home and enjoy it everyday. ... show more

Most important…use a wet cloth to wipe down surfaces. You really need the surface to be wet… not dripping. A scraper of some kind is very helpful. Measure twice cut once. Very easy to install. I am very happy with the results.
